All i have to say, is you've mastered the snapping of buidling. It took me forever to get a basic slanted roof to snap to the wall in the correct spot

I just wish you could build the roofs to go out further from foundations than other things, but oh well, I do understand how that would be broken. But I'd be happy even if you couldn't walk on them

Like imagine you build a straight line of ten foundations, you could build a tower on the first one, and you’d be able to run 9 more out in the same direction the road you made underneath goes, you can do a lot with that method if you have the ground space for the foundation

Does my game is broken or woot ? How you can carry so much when i have 3300 weight and cant carry more then 300 ingots and you 1250 and carry all ore 10k ?

Nice one Boet, love the videos and content that not everyone covers… building for me was always frustrating but your tips for building have sure helped!

Got most of it the first try, used walls, and attached some roofs as floors around the bottom floor to get some spaces that I couldn't place a foundation due to it being a tiny bit to far out. Hid my stuff like the Flame Cauldron, Pickax and Helmet, and Large Toolbox in that cubby hole by the stairs, perfect spot out of the way for them tbh, just hoping my Pals don't get stuck in it.

I liked the vid my dude , I just built there yesterday and started getting my iron and ore set up

I appreciate this video. I'm currently struggling to build on this awesome yet terribly uneven plateau.

Build pillars and go vertical that’s what I did I have everything in my base breeding, crafting etc hope this helps

​@diabolicghetto9724 going up doesn't cause issues with pathing? Did you build up in the center near the palbox, or near the edges of the plateau?

If you don’t mind all of your resources being scattered around you can place small chests around the ores so transporting is done almost instantly. Your furnaces pull from all chests in the base so it doesn’t matter where the ore is.

Slanted Roof instead of of playing with your foundation and stairs. Slanted Roofs at least for me tend to snap better

Tip for lining up those problematic foundations: Ceiling out, wall down. Alternatively do the opposite: Build a donut of foundations 1 wall below the peak, then wall up, and cover the peak with ceilings, then center palbox. Foundation top can get wonky with what's considered supported for larger builds. Ran into this on a base where the "supported" area conflicted with other foundations (prioritized one set over the other for the system check and repeatedly failed the check.) Hope this helps!

@Vortechtral Rip, sorry to hear that. I'll leave the infinite ammo/palball glitch for you: Foundation 2x2, 2x3, 3x3, near npc. Door frame middle, open door. Wall up 25-40x on top of door, this is for teleport spawns. Build bench to side. Build bench on bench. Demo lower bench, repeat until bench is floating near top. Need 1-2 walls above bench height to mess with spawns later. Get spear, grapple gun, and practice grappling doorway to launch self upward. Poke, punch, or shoot npc to trigger guards. Grapple glitch up door wall, get to bench. Stab guards to trigger loot conditions, keep going avoiding hitting wall. Fall damage will kill guards. Go until bored, then jump and die. Collect giant mound of ammo/balls.

@@Vortechtral for troubleshooting wall down, skip build down, just ring foundation from guesstimate, then build up and ceiling across. Edit: The infinite ammo/ball farm helps with dedicated servers instead of going multi-camps like bamboo forest, killing all but 1, looting, exit game, and reentering.*

If you use slanted roofs instead of stairs you can stack them two down, so you won’t have to fuck around with platforms below the stairs.

I saw a video somewhere suggesting that the pals don't actually need access to the beds and they still get the benefits of the beds being on the base. So if you build a tower right on the edge and put two beds on each level then enclose that level with walls you can save a lot of space. I've tried this and it does appear to work at present.

I noticed this yesterday. I tried to trap my vixies in a separate, indoor farm so my transporting pals wouldn't waste time picking up spheres all day (this idea failed btw; it worked like a gem until I left the base and teleported back, at which point the vixies got teleported into my main farm outdoors). I forgot to put down beds inside the building, but the vixies didn't lose any sanity despite sleeping on the floor. I assume this was because there were beds for them outside still, even if they couldn't still get outside to use them.

I put separate containers near all the nodes to further reduce transport time.

My ore doesn’t respawn, any reason for this? Have setting set for quick reset

if you're up for it, i'd be really interested in a 'perfect' build, i'm having quite the time trying to get it to flow better from your pal box platform to the main structure, seeing some base tour videos, i just can't figure out how they've done some of the things they have. like perfect wall/roof alignment with the stepped foundations basically continuing the level as a 'ground' floor entrance completely escapes me.

I just placed foundations over where they spawn or you can place flower boxes or really anything chests work too

Only 2 changes I would make is removing the farming and the stone just drop food off to them and you’ll have a better base

Do you have any idea how to prevent pals from getting stuck on the big storage containers? i haven't unlocked the smaller ones yet and they keep getting stuck on top and getting hungry. I've tried walling them off, as well as putting a elevated foundation down and putting them on that and still they somehow get stuck.

I am not sure about how to stop them from getting stuck but I have just moved away from using the Storage containers in my builds from now on because of that, im using the smaller metal chests

by default no but I have heard of a way to activate a developer mode some how, but all I used was a Mod for the purpose of the building video, have the info in my discord

What are the optimal pals to use on this? I tried 4 digtoise with 4 helzephyr. But seems to be slow or just not as fast as I wanted it to be.

Digtoise doesn't work as intended when assigned to a base. Anubis is a good miner/transporter if not doing handiwork. I run it with Ragnahawks for kindling and transport, Anubis for mining and transport, Verdash for planting, gathering and transport and Jormuntide for watering. 1 foxcicle for my fridge so my salads etc don't spoil.

Lol… I’m either dumb or iq1000.. I built 1x1 towers at the cardinals and then built a tower off of that… started it three-ish floors up and used a staircase to the high point you tried to cover up.

I built my base here, however my wumpos (and any other pal with logging) are attacking the ground instead of transporting, did anyone experience something similar?

Same here they just keep logging or appear to be but never actually accomplish anything so I'm assuming its bugged atm. I switched to birds for transport and it works great as long as you block the tree spawns that block their path to the chest. They tend to get stuck from time to time if you don't.

How do you have infinite building materials?

Angiesaint, I’m level 35 and I want a little help knowing where to place my third base knowing that’s there’s certain materials needed for end game! I have a home base where I breed pals, cook food, farm stone and wood and etc. I have a second base strictly for mining coal and ignor! I don’t need an exact location but what type of farm/base would you recommend as a last base? I’m looking forward to you feedback! Thank you so much!

I was actually just working on that finally got into breeding vid coming soon

another good tip that I found very useful is the 3rd base being used for what you need the most. Main base for breeding, crafting, and farming i also make paldium fragments. 2nd base for ore and ingots also have farming. 3rd base. change as needed, ran stone for 12 hours. made over 50k only used anubis. Pals work better with only one task. Plus, you can not have multiple bases doing everything, so better to make them focus on one thing. After doing wood or stone only for a few day you'll be set for the rest of the game. edit: you cannot build more then 1 breeding farm, itll let you build it but only 1 timer will actually work. even if built at another base.

I just hope they give us a proper ingot pit farm update.

What are the best pals for this base for farming and mining?

I use the following: Lyleen/Verdash are great for planting/harvesting and then azurobe/penking for watering. For the mining I like to have a team of anubis (breed penking with bushi). Then a bunch of killimari to handle the hauling since they are small, quick, don't eat much, and work all night. Then a couple ragnahawks for kindling/more handling and finally one of each type of jolthog to run the power and the freezer. If you decide you want to do some logging on the side, mossandas are good for that as they will pitch in with a bit of the handiwork and hauling too. there are other pals with higher skills but they also tend to be very large and I find that is more of a hassle than it is worth since they always get stuck on everything.

​@@rwulf So use Anubis over Astegon, because Astegon gets stuck more easily? If you put a lot of Anubis down do you not have enough transporting already then? Is Killimari really needed? Ragnahawk also has transport. I suspect it is because Killimari works at night. Who is better Lyleen or Verdash? They look pretty similar in work suitability. Mossanda seems pretty big. Wouldn't Bushi be better? What about Wumpo Botan (or is he too big)? Right now I directly plopped down my base in the midle, it is half in the ground xD. I build some straw beds, two berry farms and two hot springs. I have one Petallia (still breeding for Lyleen), one Jormuntide, two Bushi's and eleven Anubis. I smelt the ores at another base. I know it is by no means optimised, because I am still trying to figure out which combinations work the best. So far no one has ever been stuck and the ores are almost always all mined and in the chest. All the pals have random passive skills (mostly grey ones) and are near 100% sanity all the time. The Anubis are sometimes walking around doing nothing, because they mined all the ore nodes. I already cut two Anubis and replaced them with two Bushi's for this reason.

Of all the great ore mining spots you picked the worst one. First of all there's not much ore here. There are tons of other locations with way more ore AND coal nodes, and second there's a huge hill in the center. Wow. Don't listen to this kid. There are way better places to build an ore/coal mining site.

I have setup a mining base there for a while too. It is a great spot in my experience. I am using mainly Anubis.
