Starting a new character with the knowledge I've gathered from my first, you're videos have been a great help with a lot of it. My area here was a little off so I had to make it a tad bit different, but nonetheless, came out good!

As starting out, can't do what I do for 'chopping' trees down, but I personally have grown to using my shotgun for that. Found out early that the pick and axe seem to break very easily, once I got access to the shotgun, and actually crafted it, I started using it for those purposes instead.

Does daylight speed effect the boss cooldown timer? I had it set to 0.1 to farm ore/eggs but killed a boss an hr later real life time the boss timer only went down 5 minutes.

The downside of this location is the lack of stone and if I build the quarry they don't mine the copper. The raids in this location get crazy too. They started jumping into the base from the cliffs above.

I had the same issue, you need to either let the stone quarry hit max 9,999 so they stop working on it or have 6 miners in your base at all times. If you're playing in a solo world in this area the best solution I found is to just add 3 extra worker slots in the world settings for your base to add the extra miners

@@keikwong I just stockpile stone and delete the quarry or mass miners at that location and do farming/ranch elsewhere. It's Halloween town right now as it's full of tombats and incinerams with a couple depressos for fun.

I saw a thing where you put stairs to the quarry/logging locations so you can just delete the stairs if you dont want them on the stone

@@alexbiddison7574 the location is kind of buggy for pal pathing in general quite often I will find them stuck outside the base border as they were trying to get to a task but wander outside the base radius and get lost.

Dude how cool this is where I built my first base I guess I’m doing something right 😅

It might be better to stick the chest near the pal box so you can easily transfer to other bases. It won’t interfere with it if you place it to the side

Can you make a tut on how you built that end game base, for coal and ore etc..., i could place the palbox, but then i couldn't place foundations on the edges of the cliff, neither roofs

It you knock down tree and Build Fundation on top the trees dont grow back

I’m not on a server just started lastnight to test it out. Don’t have enough materials to do this yet. Hahahah. But maybe after I’m a bit further in. I can try to find this place. I have the quarry. So it will eventually get me the materials

Beautiful area. Comprehensive tutorial. If there were a coal node, I'd probably move in after watching this! I personally haven't had any issues with placing items in front of the Pal box; one of my recent bases has a chest fully blocking the front of it, so I have to approach the box from the side to use it. XD I like having the storage so close. It means my overencumbered travel time is reduced, since I only have to waddle around the Pal box and all my chests are right there. I do make sure to leave the back of it completely open though so Pals don't get stuck when they spawn in. If you use a grappling hook though, having the chests on a nearby wall is even faster than the Palbox waddle strat. I just pesronally don't like how having to unlock several iterations of the grappling hook makes my crafting menus cluttered, so I often skip unlocking it altogether.

The house outside the blue line would destroy itself wouldn't it? With decay timer.

ok wouldnt mind an actual starting base build at that location. stone is nice but you dont start with it. wouldnt mind a starting layout pre stone that can be transitioned to stone later.

Tbh, there's no reason to build with wood at all. lol

They will take stuff to whatever chest is the closest that they have access too. Whats inside is irrelevant

is it me or is it NOT costing you anything to build with the stone forms?

nothing directly planed for it right now, not sure what else I could do with it but maybe do a final ultimate build with like a house and everything on it? I did recently rebuild this base on my 24 hour celebration stream lol

Turn off “Base Degredation” in your custom world settings, they will not longer deteriorate 😊
