I like your interpretation but I think it's more about denying the true consuming power love can have over us. She wants to pretend she isn't at her lover's mercy but the more she resists it the more power it has over her - the more you struggle the tighter it's hold on you. Been together with Romanian for 20 years, yes, but had a very good job, was young, we got married in 2011. 2 daughters 16 and 20 unfortunately I hardly see them. I can’t believe this is on TikTok now.. like everyone says it’s being noticed again after I used to SHOUT this song when I was with my fiancé of 8 years in 2014 who passed in 2018.. now I’m SHOUTING/CRYING all at once. I can’t stop .. song is magical and so is she 😩❤️
