This is my favorite of your videos. Makes me miss Las Vegas. Back in the 90s when I lived there the Frontier had all you can eat seafood on Friday nights with huge Alaskan king crab legs the size of your arm and it was $12.99. They had prime rib and New York steak on it too.

You have such a great dry sense of humor, made me laugh out loud.

Great Video Danny! It may be just me but, I find the Lobster Claws more tender and flavorful than the tails. That was a nice selection of food on the buffet and all the food stations looked so clean too!

It was off camera: I tried so hard to get to the lobster claw meat.. the shell was the hardest and thickest I have ever come across. being away from home, all I had to try it with was that cracker they provided and all that did was slip around the shell. I decided not to try too hard because time was limited there.. I did manage to get one claw open, but I ran out of energy and took a nap... (kidding)

A very enjoyable presentation . Years ago 10 maybe , I like the buffet at The Orleans . It's a family type place. B/L/D coat $21.00 It's off of the strip but I really like the Casino and food. Give it a shot.

Thanks to your video, I will now visit the Palms! The buffet looks great! I hated the Bacchanal because it was so dirty and their lobster was cold and yucky, so I’m happy to have found you so I can see how clean buffets are! Thanks 🙏🏼

@@dannythemedic yes! Exactly! And when I was there, the melted butter machine was broken. I was disappointed by many things there, and the price, wow! Also, we had to wait for over an hour in line WITH reservations. Not a happy customer lol!

Love your vids! To answer your question.. browned butter.. they cook the melted butter a bit until the milk solids get a nice toasty brown.. gives it a nutty flavor. Suggestion for those hard shelled lobsters.. try cracking the shell lengthwise between your hands.. if that doesn't free up the meat, then snap off the tail fins and use the handle of a fork or something to shove the tail up out of the top of the tail shell.

thank you! oddly I been taught to avoid making brown butter, to not let it burn, I guess it was because I was looking for neutral flavor ghee type thing at the time... and thanks for the comment

@@dannythemedic you don't cook it long enough that the butter actually burns.. just a nice pretty golden tan.. used for lots of recipes (too many years cooking as a chef lol)

I turn these videos into drinking games. I take a shot everytime I hear "guys". LOL. Love these reviews/real world looks. The final bill/receipts are a good inclusion too.

Went on a Wednesday seafood night. Opens at 4:00pm till 9:00pm. Got there at 4:17pm today (5/11/22) and the line was already like a black Friday at best buy back in the early 2000s. Expect to wait 2-3 hrs just to consume food. If you are desperate to wait that long because it's only $65 for cheaply prepared lobsters then this is a good opportunity.

It was not busy at all when I went! I guess more people found out about it after I went.... ( lucky me lol )

the crab leg tool, you zip it upward and it opens it like a zipper. if we ever get to meet in va for a buffet or crab legs, i will show you how to use it. you can do the same thing with a strong pronged fork. you just put one prong of the fork and pull up along the edge and it “unzips” the leg and you pull the sides open.

😂 Kikkoman is THE soy sauce. Totally true! I love your honest reviews!

There is one other, Yasmoto or yama something.. that one was also great but I buy kikkoman! and I hate it when restaurants water down the kikkoman in those half hourglass shape dispensers!

no prime rib, they did have brisket. prime rib is served fridays i think,

There was no line on this day, because they recently reopened and I think this was the second lobster buffet they offered. after I posted the video (I think mine was the first on youtube), the line is now endless, I think all subsequent youtube vids from others commented on how long the line was! LOL lucky me!

Brown butter is regular butter that is “ browned” in a sauté pan, etc.

They improved the waiting list for this buffet. I checked in at 4:30pm and they paged me at 6:30pm to stand in line for another 30 minutes.

Thanks Danny! I was looking at trying this buffet since they advertised it particularly because of the lobster. Most everything you tried looked pretty good but I don't know if I'd pay $64.99. I may take you up on your suggestion to go on a non-lobster night.

@@dannythemedic I meant all that protein without any fiber made a HARD time in the toilet. In future seafood buffets I made sure to eat a little vegetation along with the seafood.

I think you may have expected to poo at your usual time or something, but you shouldnt expect that. It is normal to not poo after eating mainly things that is fully used by your body, there is very little to poo compared to eating things your body cannot use (fiber). Simply do not expect any poo, and poo whenever you feel it come naturally, dont need to force a poo at your specific time...

I heard the frozen lobster tails are better than the whole lobsters. How come you didn't try any? Seven lobsters and a nice buffet is not a bad deal. ❤👏

For crab, lobster other shell fish, take a kitchen scissors. Make it easy to cut the shell off and get to the good stuff. Dang you make me hungry!

Enjoyed the video, Danny! You are so funny! The food looked average...the lobster DID look like it was done earlier and been sitting under that heat lamp. The dessert didn't look that good; almost like some of those Chinese buffets you've visited. I was surprised you didn't get some ice cream. I think I'll pass on the Palms if I ever visit Vegas.

Frisée Salad, Danny! Also porchetta at the beginning. Porchetta is a savory, fatty, and moist boneless pork roast of Italian culinary tradition. I don't like lobster. A Chinese friend in the south of England invited me to lobster dinner. I saw the desperate lobster climbing out of the pot with boiling water and it put me off forever. Just like your story with your mom who was cooking turtle for your grandma. Don't look in the pot when you don't want to know.

looks amazing and i just started the video. dont forget to devein it before you eat the tail. but too late, you already ate the poo, lol. not sure if you trade stocks, but if you do, grab some SYSX. (thats the ticker symbol) .. its up a little and dipped today, but im expecting about 5 to 10x runner, from where it is today, over the next 3 weeks. wish me luck, it may be my biggest stock winner in all the years i have traded. ok, back to the video.

It was slow because It newly opened and word didnt get out yet. after my video, it is now a crowded mess with lines out the door, check out videos from youtubers who made theirs after mine, LINES GALORE!

YES, and can you tell me, are they frozen lobsters or cooked live at the palms? I once went to the AYCE in the showboat NJ, and it was all frozen lobsters... ( still better than no lobster )
