Are Royal Caribbean's Western Caribbean Ports Worth Visiting?

Are you considering a Western Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean? Stick around to see what the ports of call are like and if they are even worth visiting!
A 7-night Western Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean usually includes two stops in Mexico - Cozumel and Costa Maya plus a stop at Roatan, Honduras. Like most experienced cruisers, we look forward to port days because we pretty much have the ship to ourselves. This means no long lines at Flowrider, the Ultimate Abyss slide, and plenty of seating by the pool.
But we are on vacation and in a foreign country, so it can still be fun to get off the ship and do a little exploring. But what is there to do? And is there anything you need to be careful of?
I’ll take you on a tour of the 3 most popular ports of call so you can see for yourself.
One of my favorite cruise tips is that by not booking an excursion, you can enjoy the cruise ship with much fewer crowds onboard. So it's ok if you don't book an excursion and just want to get off the ship to do a little exploring of your own.

This video is your guide to exploring the Western Caribbean itinerary ports with Royal Caribbean, especially if you prefer not to book an excursion and just check things out. I've done the excursions in the past and while they are fun, I prefer to just hang out on the ship and maybe get off for a little while and buy some souvenirs. Thanks for watching - and if you have any questions, feel free to leave a reply!
