Based on research and calculs i have done, Niles have been stuck in the time loop for minimum 45 years which is 7 years more minimum than in Groundhog Day Roy was in the time loop few years after Niles and the cut where Sarah leaving, she'd be on her own about 3 years, at least one, at most 5

More people need to react to this movie. Samberg and Milioti just have the same kind of energy and make a great couple.

I didn’t see you reacted to this. I love this movie. Ive seen it like 20 times. It is hilarious.

The scene with Roy at the end is with Roy still in the time loop, while Niles and Sarah are 1 day later with time continuing, so the Niles that Roy speaks to doesn't know him, because he's an "NPC" Niles that isn't in the loop, like every other wedding guest. The actual Niles we've been following remembers everything along with Sarah, and once Roy breaks out, he'll be caught up and be on the same day as them too.

Love this film! It came out in 2020 and I recall Sandberg commenting on the irony of it coming out when many of us were practically living the same day over and over in lockdown and pondering our existence. It was great seeing him in a more dramatic role without losing his comedic touch. Since you mentiond Black Mirror, you may recognize Cristin Milioti from the USS Callister episode!

Yay I’m happy you found your way to this!! I love this film and have been watching closely to be able to buy it before it gets removed from streaming. My favorite thing is how much it makes you think on the first watch, I was quite confused at the start; and it’s still a fun watch when I want something funny. The vibrant colors and beautiful desert 🏜️ locale makes it the perfect summer watch.
