I have driven these for 8 years without a major accident of any kind. I have been hit by others that failed to yield/ hear my horn, however no injury whatsoever thankfully. After a while you just get really familiar with them and it's like another extension of your body.

Jungheinrichs have both the tiller brake and two E-stops (one on the ROPPT and one anti-press-up on the tiller handle). However, the tiller brake on the Jungheinrich can be rather annoying when driving in reverse, as it has a tendency to erroneously activate when you've got the tiller in a certain position. I've had a few instances where my ROPPT would 'bunny hop' and stall like a manual car, even when I have the tiller in the correct position.

Some are designed to be ridden on as well. At my workplace, all our PPTs (as we call them here in the UK) are ride-ons, and have retractable platforms that turn them into walkers. You have to take care with them or they'll become warehouse destroying machines.
