Spoilers Bargouttie (the bombmaker) has not been released yet he still has 5,180 years on his sentence, and he got reprimanded in 2015 by giving a radio interview on a smuggled phone that he still wants death for Israel and want no mercy for its people. They let him see his family for the first time last year. Thay should only feed him sbarro pizza everyday as his sentence.

I saw the documentary and was stunned that they don’t get clothes, just boxer shorts. Never can lift their heads to look up. 😮 I have seen inside American USA prisons . I translated for the documentary film maker ( Arabic ) and those prisons are so gross and the space of rooms is tiny , the food is unfit for a dog. This is shocking to see even the size of the cells.

If you don’t want to see your prodigy imprisoned in actual prison, or worse yet killed, then break the generational cycle of hate and revenge. This goes for both Palestinians and Israelis. Both sides of radicalism continue to perpetuate a dead end future for all involved. Teach your children to build bridges of friendship, not walls of hate and mistrust. This was in 2005 means before hanas was elected yet they were children being in isreali prison with no charge, these days since the seven of octobre palestinans don't have these treatment as you saw in the vid any longer, plus don't believe anything you see when it's filmed by a camera, just search about how palestinans hostages are treated these days after 7 of octobre many of them were taken to prison with no charge, even a 14 years old can be sent to prison by isreal if he just throw a stone towards an isreali police settler in the west bank which they shouldn't be there

I have to respectfully disagree. When there is violence coming from the West Bank their presence may be necessary to protect their citizens. I’m not an expert on the justice system in Israel but they are a democracy, which tells me that they are held accountable for their actions. And it’s a bad idea to mess with any countries military as a citizen. You would surely go go jail for trying to assault any military.

It’s amazing to me that the guards and the prisoners are surprised at how normal one another is. We are all humans. Yes, the people jailed have done terrible things but in the context of oppression, seeing loved ones killed, being egged on by other disenfranchised people they made bombs. Or smuggled weapons, killed people, etc. But unless the guy has so much anger he cannot be social or has mental health problems we are more alike than not. It amazes me in 2023 there are Arabs that have never seen an Israeli and Israelis that have never seen Arabs. In one country. That is weird on the governments part and makes even the idea of peace that much more unlikely.

Yahya Sinwar was one of the prisoners who got released when Israel accepted the deal to release prisoners to get back 1 solider- Gilad Shalit from Gaza after he was taken hostage. Yahya Sinwar in his time in prison actually got sick, he had a tumor in his brain, very aggressive form of cancer and he was treated and his life was saved here in Israel. unfortunately he still chose to pursue his path of destruction against Israel rising to be one of the most extreme and brutal figures in Hamas leadership.

@@nenny1568 I actually don't know, I haven't watched all of it..the documentry I watched was solely about him in prison since this was a very interesting story where his interrogators also spoke about their interactions with him. If you want I can give you the link or search words for the documentary but it was in Hebrew and I'm not sure there are captions or translation available.

As this was produced in 2005, probably all or most of the Palestinians featured on this were released in 2011 with the Gilad Shalit hostage-prisoner exchange. The single most appalling hostage release deal ever brokered. 1000 Palestinian prisoners for 1 Israeli solder! Many of those released were extremely senior Hamas terrorists, one in particular who was one of the primary organisers for the 7th October atrocities. I’ve wondered several times since the 7th, if this deal had never occurred would that deplorable unforgivable assault have occurred? While it’s fantastic Gilad was safely returned to his family, this disgraceful insane deal has only incentivised Hamas to kidnap civilians as hostages, already they are demanding the release of every Palestinian in every jail in Israel. Should that ever be agreed to there is every guarantee that amongst them will be the next masterminds or major contributors to a horrific assault on Israel in the near future.

It is likely that to get back the hostages all the prisoners in Israeli jails will need to be returned. ALL.

Just crazy. Seems like hamas would accept 100 at some point. But they probably asked for 5000 first. Whoever negotiated that for hamas needs a raise

They are no worse than most people in Israel that perpetuate the apartheid settler colonialist system that has been in place for 75 years. How many quotes from Israeli politicians would you like me to list to substantiate this viewpoint. You want to stop the violence and the bloodshed? Stop treating the Palestinean people and their aspirations with such distain. One day the West, like in South Africa, will stop propping up this despicable regime and then we might see a route, through negotiation, to peaceful settlement.
