I Think This Is The 1st Series After The World Cup 2003. Waqar Was Sacked As Captain Who Eventually Retired After Poor Run At WC 2003. Wasim Intended Before WC 2003 That He Would Retire.

I believe this was the debut for Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Gul and Rana Naveed

I miss those days when Sharjah cup used to take place after building up of new stadiums in Abu Dhabi & Dubai over these years the market has gone down for Sharjah CA stadium

Pakistan Cricket real decline started from this series when Amir Sohail as chief selector dropped all the senior players except Younis,Abdul Razzaq,Rashid Latif..and all the talented led from Pakistan domestic Came in the team and didn't get much International experience and guidance by playing with seniors..And rest is the history

I was there with chacha cricket.it was hafeez debut.

before 2003 Pakistan was considered at top rated team in every tournament but after 2003 Pakistan was just an average team and this journey is still continued and maybe situation may become even worse since current players r too un professional and they r more interested in social media and girls

There used to be a time Pakistan had 5 all-rounders in their team: Wasim Akram, Razzaq, Mahmood, Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi

I remember this. It was immediately after the 2003 Cricket world cup. 8 members of the team were dropped and youngsters were inducted in. Mohd Hafeez, Mohd Sami, Shoib Malik, Danish Kaneria, Umar Gul, Naved Latif, Azeem. All were new.
