Those days statistical calculation rules were very unfair and had many mistakes and flaws.it not there anymore these days, dl method is useful

Poor batsman though. I would have played him purely as a substitute fielder, pretending one of my other players was injured when we were fielding.

This WC is my favourite..colour clothes,commentary. I see Imran khan disgusted with the rain rule but dont think in his dreams would have thought of winning the WC. SA would have given a fight in the final

those who invented the rules in case of rain in 1992 WC should be sent to jail because those rules were absolutely lethal for the team batting 2nd. that was really unjustified.

Would you believe it. Pak all out for 74 batting first in 40.3 overs. England got target of 64 in 16 overs. My God !!! Thank God it rained otherwise England would have surely lost it as they were 24/1 after 8 overs. Amazing !!!

Yes, but they think Fakhar, Rizwan, Nawaz, Shadab, Imad are batsmen. What brilliance @talhanaeem4364... of playing rugby? Very non-cricketing dismissal. That's what all he could do on a cricket field. Neither a batsman, nor a bowler, Jonty played as a fielder in the team. Flinging himself on the stumps. Expected from such a layman.

Pakistan would have won the match if the match would have contd for 50 overs. It's a tragedy that many matches like this one in 1992 WC suffered because of that cruel Duckworth-Lewis rule which offered absolutely nothing to the team batting second. Another game was SA vs Eng where SA had to score 22 off the last ball

The duckworth lewis rule was not in operation in 1992! It became operational from 1999. In 1992 WC most productive over method was used. It was ridiculous method, S Africa lost in semi final v Eng requiring 22 runs of 1 Ball, after rain stopped play!

Even in present times Wasim Akram is considered to be the best left arm bowler in cricket history. Akram always bowled out Australian batsmen openers in particular in his first 5 overs. Kapil Dev took 70% of his wickets against bowlers.
