@@RyanZ225_PCComeng usually don't run on the Burnley and Clifton Hill groups. Since 2018, there were only X'Trapolis trains were running all services since then.

I was on an Up HCMT at Dandenong last Friday (the 24th) just before 11am heading to Caulfield and heard a Comeng going past and into the yard. I was so surprised that they were running again on our line, as at the time I didn't know about what was happening in this two week period with their return to service. I'm so shattered I didn't get to ride any Comeng or Siemens trains for potentially the final ever time on the line, but I'm so glad we have people like you who go out of their way to film and share as much of this momentous footage as possible. Thanks Straya Trains! P.S. Will you be at the new Pakenham and East Pakenham stations when they open on Monday? I'm going to try and head there if I can as they're not far from me.

@@StrayaTrains Cool. I didn't go today after all because I saw on the PTV app that there were still some disruptions or something between Westall and Pakenham/East Pakenham. Can you clarify if that's true?

Great video it was nice to see Comeng and Siemens run regular on the Dandenong corridor again. I also realised during the video that I was on that same Dandenong Comeng service. However I had to head back before it got to Dandenong.

O my gosh, this was so cool. Dandenong is my home train station, and I did not know this was going on (with the Comengs and Siemans). I love your videos, as PTV trains, are quite interesting to listen people talk about.

Yarraman is mine and I saw the Siemens but not the Comeng and did not bother trying to work out why as it had to be something to do withe the E Pakenham integration.

Hi Straya Trains, I made a HCMT ride to Pakenham from Flinders Street in late March 2024 before the Pakenham line closure. That includes the new Narre Warren (skyrail) station had opened to passengers. I'll be posting it later this year or could be next year.

Starting from Monday the 3rd of June 2024, when the new Pakenham (skyrail) and East Pakenham station opens to the public for passengers. But the line will still call it as "Pakenham line" because East Pakenham is in the suburb of Pakenham.

I actually boarded the first train to east pakenham. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity that i am ever so grateful to have experienced.

i caught one of the comengs in the video which is an alstom on the pakenham line this week but mainly siemens

I wish i knew about this, why is it always something happens on my local line that i wanted to experience that i only find out about over a month later? 😭

I think during a weekend maybe all services along the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines are served by HCMTs because they have enough space to run from the sidings.

Gotta love seeing the run of Siemens and comeng on the Pakkenham line….. love the sound of these trains too. Do they even go to east Pakkenham?

Great video! I managed to get over for the 29th, 30th & 31st, which saw mostly Siemens; I only caught 1 Comeng which then sadly de-trained halfway back to the city. Just wondering if you got footage for an announcement video on an EDI on one of the express runs? (Skips Westall & Yarraman)

I live along the Pakenham line just down from the station towards the city, I have had a front row seat on the removal of the old line and the preparations for the new skyrail. I have been watching for the first test trains and am fairly sure I seen a X’trap making a test run?

Are the semens retiring? Also will the HCMT will rule both of those lines when the comeng is gone and if semens is too? And the comeng train horn did it change? Also what line do you live close too Mine is Lilydale.

I think that it is there due to a sight issue due to the slight curve at Berwick station for Vlines that are running express combined with the location of the cross overs on the down side of the station.

Only a few runs that operated by Comeng and Siemens continuing to run for two weeks during the peak hour on the weekdays, but not on the weekends.

@@YoussefPlayzz from what I have seen, (I may be wrong) metro replaced the x'trap horns because they were too loud but now they have replaced the beutiful comeng horns with horns as loud as the x'trap horns essentially not learning anything from the x'trap horns

Buses were replacing trains along the sections of the Pakenham line from 17th May until 2nd June 2024 due to Level Crossing Removal Works at Pakenham. With not enough HCMTs running on the city side of Dandenong, instead they'd ran extras with Comeng and Siemens with a few peak hour services. A result that HCMTs had been stuck at Pakenham East depot for a few weeks. Thanks for the update :) ❤😂
