The Frankston line is so underrated, because at Carrum station you can see the beach and it's so beautiful

The city stations were split between the operators too. Flinders Street, Spencer Street and (I believe) Richmond were run by Hillside/Connex, while Bayside/M>Train was responsible for the City Loop stations.

One of the stupidest, most idiotic things ever dobe to the network. Why? The operators didn't compete with each other and the system was designed to operate together. Just a totally stupid move

We still own the infrastructure and the trains. We sublet them to metro.
