Pair of Whizzer Motorized Bicycles
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
We are sharing something a little different this time with a pair of motorized Whizzer Bicycles. These got started in 1939 and were most popular around WWII. However, by 1965 they had been overtaken by the now very competitive motorcycle and motorscooter market.
Available as a complete package, or with the motor purchased and paired with an existing bicycle, these bikes offered mobility while being very cost-effective. Over 100 miles per gallon was achievable if not more. We have one of both here in this video.
Jerry Frye covers our Red and Black pair of Whizzers and goes over a bit of history of how these came to be. For more on the rest of the collection, head over to AmericanMuscleCarMuseum.com

I bought a Whizzer (schwinn bike) in 1944. It was the love of my life. I'm now 96.
Wow thanks for filling us in on this golden history. So cool.
Bravo
This a very interesting video I learned new things from this i never knew bike motor kits were that old
Red bike is a 1948 and up Schwinn, factory reinforced for a Whizzer kit.You can tell by the brake arm brace. More than likely a J-engine.
Wow very nice thanks for the history
I was given a 1951 Whizzer Ambassador! It went like hell!
the red bike is on a Schwinn frame
With these types of bikes here in Kansas you do not need to get a license
