Painting the interior of a house. What it costs.
Ғылым және технология
Painting the interior of my house was something that I had thought that I would DIY. Turns out I underestimated exactly how much work it was going to be. In the video I said that the painters quoted $17K but the final bill actually ended up being $20K. If you're thinking about painting your entire house DIY I would reconsider because I firmly believe it is a job for professional painters.

That is money well spent for all that painting. Also, having a DIY channel with a hangover should be a trend. LOL.
Thanks for taking the time to explain a little bit of what goes into “painting a house.” I’m a professional painter & fine finisher and we do a LOT of work that people don’t even think about to ensure enamel & stained/cleared woodwork look and feel smooth as glass by the time we spray our final coats 👌🏻 Props to you for tackling as much of this project as you can by yourself. That is no small feat. Wise, too, to call in people who do this for a living to save you time, energy, & countless headaches (except for headaches brought on by hangovers, lol). Keep it up! 💪🏻💪🏻

Seriously people need to know how much work you do to paint a new build. It’s impressive and highly skilled! Definitely NOT a DIY project under any circumstance.
That’s about right. $1000-$1500 /day for an experienced painter. Anyone can spay paint. You’re paying for the prep. I’d charge about the same price and it would take me and an experienced helper 6 days
LOVE your videos! Thanks for making them. Can’t wait to see the progress on the new house, I always learn a ton.

Hey thanks Celina! I hope to provide useful info so your feedback is awesome! Let me know if there’s anything else I can do in the videos to make them even more informative!
There’s also a big difference between a $20 spraygun and a $13 tip off Amazon and a pro level $400 spraygun with a $50 tip so if you’re thinking about DIY you need to factor in those costs as well
Can’t wait to see your finished house, looks like it’s going to be amazing, enjoying all your videos your humour is just how I like it DRY. Totally agree to get professionals in you need that finish on a project like that with everything bare it just soaks up the paint and needs 3/4 coats on everything and I think if you loose enthusiasm as it’s so overwhelming you loose the great finish it deserves xx

Isn't that the truth: especially losing enthusiasm or the drive to finish like you started.
Good Job buddy! Have a Great day!
Painting is one of those things. You know you “can” do it, the question is always “should” you do it.

Darn I wish I could have used that line in the video! So true and the perfect way to explain it.
You make me laugh. 😃 I work for a paint contractor; it’s shocking how much prep and precision need to be done-preferably done correctly!
I was wondering where you had been! Glad to see you back on here!
