I found that I have been using a soft press paper from Saunders and at 200Lb it is quite nice. I like hot press for fine details but I have used cold press for details it just takes a little more effort and if the paper is stretched it smooths out better! I look forward to seeing what you decide to do!

An inexpensive paper - hot press- that I feel behaves very well is Global , Fluid paper. I use Arches mostly but for quick simple things, I really recommend the Fluid paper. X

Seeing that water droplet close to the tip of the brush made me a bit nervous 😬 😂

Can you share what printer you have? I've had to replace my old one, which I loved and did all those things you said. But my new one sucks :) haha! Its only for general printing so I'm curious. Good to see you back!

I wish I had seen the community post, I would suggest Mount Kilamangaro, you can get at cheap Joe's. A bit pricey but I prefer over arches

@@WaterColorMisfit Kilimanjaro is Cheap Joe’s house brand and is great paper. The qualities of the HP may not be quite what you’re looking for based on what you’ve previously shared. Also, their natural white is quite yellow, so you might want to try the bright white . I believe they’ll send you samples if you contact them.
