Very few professionals would explain their craft in layman’s terms. Showing people how be successful without all the expensive equipment. You my friend are a rock star!
30 min video and 3 mins of actually painting. I've heard painting is 90% preparation and 10% actual painting, so I guess this video confirms that.

I have spent months researching into spray painting and found a great resource at Magic Painter Method (check it out on google)

You are correct. You'll only be painting a few minutes, the rest is sanding, masking, cutting tape/stencils, priming and doing spray test.

Why bother with stickers anyway I just want to give my frame a new look to make it look like it was bought from a shop also plan to upgrade my grips and upgrade the chain ring to a oval ring

@theodoro89 That goes for anything you are doing in life. The right preparation, tools and materials will assure you a better job. It's about quality not quantity.🤙😉
A good craftsman makes his job look deceivingly easy. This is definitely the case!
This was so cool to see you do a beginner paint project for us. To show that you/we can do good creative paint jobs without all the fancy tools. Thank you so much!!!

Awesome video mate! I ended up following these instructions (including the same product) to respray a CX bike whilst I was injured and couldn’t ride for a couple of months over winter. It came out really nice! Thanks for sharing!
MAN!!!! It's awesome!!! The result is beyond any expectations from a spraypaint. Just great. Thank you very much for this video!
When I watch your videos, I always think you are an artist...I’ve painted my bike after watching your wonderful works: a matte blue color but I’ve used 4colors (white, black, light blue, dark blue) for the logos with a sticker as you do... so satisfied! Than I hydrodipped the stem, cranks and seatpost: every time I go around with my gravel I see many eyes watching my bike...and this only thanks to you!!!!you are a number one👍
I burst out with "Ha HA" when you popped that bike frame onto that broom handle :) Brilliant. And I love that frame. Very cool welds and metal work.
this advices has been perfect to me. Two bikes painted. Perfect ;)
I've NEVER seen a pallet so clean and perfect... seems that even those are made with precision engineering wherever you're at.
I painted my carbon fork using your tips and I’m quite happy with the result! Danke für den Tips!
Wahnsinn! Man merkt dass du ein „Mann vom Fach“ bist :) Richtig Klasse erklärt mit viel Liebe zum Detail!! WeiterSo und Danke für das Video :)
Yeeessss! That's exactly what I've been waiting for! My old 1982 frameset is waiting to be painted in spring. I've been gathering parts and looking through your videos. In this one you've actually answered all my questions. Now I think I'm ready to give my old frame a second life. Thanks for the tip about painting rack. I'll definitely use it. By the way, you've just killed me with the lightning and the energy drink can at the end :-) I can't wait to see your next videos.
Just mind-blowing. thanks for the effort in showing us how things can get done.
dude, that monsterdesign looks AwEsOmE!!!

Very inspiring! Cool video and very clear explanation. I’m running to my garage to paint my scratched up old mountaincycle San Andreas frame!
I like it how you have Photoshop and Illustrator installed but you use MS Paint :)

I'd really like to thank you Martin. I was really impressed with this video, and I chose to follow your tuto step by step on my Turbo Levo frame. The original paint was damaged. I have to say that I'm really happy with the result. I never used a spray can before. I can't share a picture in the comments, but the result is really nice to me. So, once again, many thanks to share your skills with us.

This is art!
that is just great, excellent tutorial. thank you for sharing.
Excellent Video!! I'm going to have a go at the two tone paint effect with old bike of mine over the next few weeks with my son. Really great video and I especially liked the 'crackle' effect.
Just made my boys watch this video as they're both wanting to strip and paint their own bikes. I did try to tell them the work involved in such undertaking, but were having none of it. They genuinely thought it would be a quick sand and spray, and hey presto awesome paint job... Thankfully your video has made them see sense. Now they're both convinced, that if a jobs worth doing, do it properly and don't cut corners. So thank you for a brilliant educational video, that has definitely inspired them. They would also like to know if you'd be interested in seeing their final results?
Wow! Amazing Job! You have inspired me

wow, martin that looks amazing. i have tried and tried to paint my own bike, but it always looks shit. now i can. thank you.
thanks for sharing, maztah 🙏🏼
Toller guide!
Nice job
This guy is a master the Germans are perfectionist and that’s how it is✌️🇱🇧 Superb work!
That clear coat really brought it to life! Wow 🤩 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I would love to DIY paint my bike, But first I’ve gotta learn how to DIY de-assemble the bike 😅. I’ve got a cheap fixed gear frame, Perhaps I’ll practice on that. Regardless, I really loved this video.
Amazing sir
Great job you truly know how it is done,
This was a great tutorial, it's coming into winter here so I've started stripping my bike back. Painted my forks already and next is the frame! I'm doing a raw look frame so only really need to use a clear coat, but can't wait for the finished product!

So, how did it go? I'm thinking of leaving my frame bare. How does the clearcoat look?
@myscreen2urs
4 жыл бұрын
Wait, can clear coat hooks into bare metal alone? Don't you still need some sort of primer? I think you can get clear primers.
