PAIN can be BEAUTIFUL

Фильм және анимация

We are adept at the avoidance of pain and suffering - we push it away, we pretend it’s not there. And we keep ourselves busy so that we don’t have time to sit and reflect - when bored, we surf social media - when we feel down, we go shopping or watch TV. But running keeps us stuck in spiraling patterns of despair and hopelessness.
And while we may not be responsible for causing the pain, we can be responsible for ending it. And to admit to that and own up to that is a humbling thing to do. You create an opportunity for growth and expansion in your life by taking accountability. You let go of your ego’s dominance over your actions and decisions, and start listening more carefully to that intuitive voice inside.
To run from pain is to run from life itself. Because by embracing difficulty and the challenges it presents, is how we grow and improve as humans. So let’s learn to accept it as a part of life. It's this that will make us whole again.

Yet I survived and was rescued at 29 years young. Fast forward to me now at age 56, I will be celebrating 9 years sobriety on 5-10-2024. Please hang in there because you are not forgotten 😮there is a divine plan for your life.

There is a common theme throughout these videos that I've noticed and that's that the vast majority of the participants have dogs, mans best companion. I can't wait until I move out of London after 40 years back to the land of my birth when I can finally get a dog and be at peace. I have missed the ocean. I connected with this mans pain as I have buried 3 of my children and have had enough sadness to last a lifetime.

Absolutely sad to read about the loss of 3 of your children, what a hole that leaves for you as a parent. Glad his message spoke to you deeply, may his words help and carry you. Regarding your thought about dogs - definitely here in South Africa many people have a dog or more (or other pets), and we agree, they are marvelous companions. Wishing you only the very best for your life, now and whenever you are moving to your country of birth. May you find and experience the peace you are looking for. And have a furry friend too. Sending much love and strength to you, Justine and Michael. 💚

When he said, "how could that person not love me?" I cried because it's this question we keep asking ourselves. The pain of not receiving love back when you give so much of it It makes you think something is wrong with you and your self worth isn't worthy enough for love. Cycle goes on. You tell your self I'll be good please love me in every act you do. I think people pleasing comes from this deep lack of love for oneself and for others. It's Beautiful how we suffer, and heal and finally find peace within ourselves and with the world. Thank you so much for this ❤

@@beachesney7920May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God Almighty be upon you, my brother. It is not permissible to publish your music. It is the sin of everyone who heard it. Please delete it. It is also not permissible to show the private parts, the private parts from the navel to the knee. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded us to cover the private parts, so my brother, cover your private parts. May God reward you with good. Just as backbiting is not permissible. They said, O Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, what is backbiting? The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Remind your brother of something that he hates. Therefore, brother, anything you mention, comment on, or speak to people or make comments, and from these words you know that none of what he hates is backbiting. This is backbiting. Therefore, it is best to ask for forgiveness and forgiveness from that person so that no retaliation is done.” From you on the Day of Resurrection, and as you know that we did not guarantee ourselves, let alone someone comes who takes good deeds coldly and without effort, so the rights must be returned to their owners. It is not permissible to publish music for you. It is the fault of everyone who heard it. It is also not permissible to publish things about infidels or wear their shirts or imitate them, whether a football player. Or an actor, because this involves glorifying them, boasting, and being loyal to them, and we as Muslims only take pride in our Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, by following his Sunnah and spreading it, and the Companions and the Mothers of the Believers, may God be pleased with them all. It is also not permissible to qaz’a because the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade us from doing that, and it is not permissible to shave the beard because the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, we never shave it just as it is not permissible to photograph people without their permission and publish things about them without permission. You must ask for permission and then publish whatever you want. It is not permissible to expose the sinner, but rather he must be covered and not exposed. This can be either by commenting or by publishing something or publications in which the person in the video is a sinful person. Therefore, by publishing, commenting, liking, or anything that spreads more video, you contribute to exposing it more, and so on. Therefore, please delete any comment or like that you made for a video that contains sin, whatever it may be, because they are ongoing sins. Drawing and cartoon pictures are not permissible because they emulate the creation of God Almighty, and it is not permissible to publish them. Pictures or videos containing women are the sin of everyone who looks at them, and all of this, or any sin, the person must cover himself and not expose himself, whether he goes out to people with them or tells people that he did such and such, because it is openly committing sin, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade that and said, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. All of my nation is safe, except those who speak out, and we are all wrong and negligent. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, commanded us to forbid evil and enjoin what is right. The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand, and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue, and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith, so you will say that you did not do it.” With some of the sins that I spoke about, but my brother or sister, with the presence of many sins while I was working on the phone, and God guides us all, I cannot send to someone every time because there are different sins, and therefore I collected them in complete lines, and God is your helper, so I advise you to repent and start with myself and return to God and cover the soul, and God is my brother, death. It will come suddenly. Likewise, every disobedience must be followed by repentance until we meet God. Remove these things that do not please God Almighty. Prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace..........

What a wonderful man. He's done such hard work. He continues to do it. Your film and his words make me want to sit beside him, maybe hold his hand for a moment -- (that's going to sound weird to some folks, but I mean, I guess, join him in his humanity). Michael and Justine how do you manage to make these so well, time after time. The framed images, using light and shadow, the close images, the sketches of story using nature, the simplicity of the sounds...thank you, again, for another one that makes me feel, and see.

I see he is awakened through the pain. Absence of love is the foundation of the pain. My husband has never felt love from his parents. He is 67. All his life he has suffered from the lack of sense of self. Without love we aren't able to become whole. I am committed loving my husband unconditional. That is my mission in my marriage. At least he has become softened and trusting my love for him. A long journey ahead of him but he is not alone any more. Watching this man touches my heart deeply. I want to hug him tight and say I love you. You are beautiful!

As an American and “child of the 60s”, I recognize this man in some of my past acquaintances. For decades, he hid his lack of self esteem behind good looks and charm: there are telltale signs of this even without his self-analysis. His drug abuse was abuse of himself, his pretense and public persona were shields. Inside, he was scared, lonely and yearning for peace and a sense of deeper worth than his ego could offer. It has taken most of a lifetime to begin to find these things which both centre and ground a human. Having the humility to ask the Universe to help is a huge step forward, and I salute him for his courage.

As he mentions in the film, a lot of his pain came through his childhood and relationship with his parents. Totally understandably, Sy did not want to reveal a lot of details about his private life - and it isn't always relevant anyway. We all have our own unique pains in life. We all need to find our own way through to the other side, we each walk our own journey. But we can draw a lot of courage from hearing from those who make it through to the light. Sung -yee , getting old is a blessing compared to the alternative... Pain is a great reminder for the need for change in our lives. Pain requires a lot of truth and inner work through the process of being present and loving to ourselves. Focusing on what we love and what is beneficial for the sake of being alive with joyous celebration and creativity. We all are truly worthy of love and peace of mind. Learning to live in harmony with our own personal challenges and circumstances are always a choice for our wholeness and our future survival. Beautiful work as always. Sung Yee brings up the question that all of us ponder as we grow older. Would I trade my knowledge for my (younger) body? I look at it as an hour glass. The top being body and the bottom being spirit. As time passes we become more in tune with our essence as our physical body grows weaker. Humility and acceptance of this natural process is the path to peace. But letting go isn’t easy. As our friend states, we have the the natural world all around us and more consciousness of its miraculousl beauty. The knowledge that we are part of it all and that we are simply on a journey to return to it helps me with fear of letting go. 🌎❤

Another evocative film to which I personally relate. I never did drugs (my brother did), but there has been so much pain and the absence of a core. Love and trust missing. Wow. Humility. That one is tricky. Even as I was busy working to understand and to "fix" what was wrong with me there was a pride, an ego. It took me so long to begin to see and acknowledge the pain that drove my abusers and the fact that I carried them more than I wanted to believe, having left them, I thought, far behind as I sought to be and do better. I did not realize how much the trauma and trauma bonding drove me and my life. Thank you, GR Folks, for another bowl of rice. Grandma Ellen, out.

i had come from work at about midnight, was crying the loss of my husband and best fiend after 2 years and a half, i still cannot get over his sudden death. i asked the universe for help and i find your channel, and I am beyond grateful, my heart is still aching, but you channel is so soothing to me. this is the fourth or fifth story that i am watching it is just so beautiful and gratifying to experience this. Thank you so very much each story resonates with me and i connect with each one of them. It is truly amazing how we are connected, honestly i cannot thank you enough.

"How can it not be so beautiful with so much beauty?" So much beauty and wisdom in this video and to listen to a person who has slowed down, really really slowed down, revealing the moments you spent with Sung-Yee (Sy) Tchao, as he reflects on his past of what was lacking and what was 'found'. Your gentle and graceful filming and presention as he wipes off his tears with his shirt in gratitude to life. So precious! Appreciation and applause to a job well done. Thank you.

Ancient sufi poets wrote that the kingdom of the eternal self opens gradually to one who understands that the light of love and knowledge penetrates us through the wounds of our existential suffering, physical, mental and spiritual. This suffering gradually awakens us to the same suffering in others as well, and marks the moment we start cultivating deep empathy, silence and contemplation

Consciousness is the true gift, blessing of ageing. Ego's needs and wants dissolve...if your blessed with the courage to face your inner demons (shadow) and the reality l caused outside. I was miserable young...confused, bewildered, and huge shame and blaming others, God, mostly me. I am now retired from the matrix....at 63 less in front of me than behind. Presence in the now, self awareness, decluttering all that was unnecessary...it's a process to true reality and peace. Self acceptance and love of me ....has restored the real me finally. She is ok...l gave up idealism.
