I am 62 and have been on a journey of self discovery since the age of 26 ( I was widowed at 22) and have watched so many of your films......THIS one has touched me so deeply. Feeling worthy, feeling enough, feeling smart enough all have been so challenging for me Most of my adult life. I know today my patents did the bet that they knew how, given all the ancestral abuse and dysfunction handed down. I feel to be the "chosen one" to end the behaviors. I don't claim to be perfect, we are all a work in progress. I continue to open my self up to the Light of the Wisdom of Truth inside of me to come to stillness and pause. To see the beauty of a sunset, sunrise, watch a bird eating in a feeder, a frog hopping in my yard. To feel the breeze on my skin. To be present to the the moment at hand and be in gratitude. That mask I wear is my survival technique....whereas people would think I am...too serious. It serves me , not because I want to seen that way, it just deter any negativities or unwarranted confrontations. I wish they could see my heart as it is always bursting with the joy of laughter and an appreciation for life. Nature as a way of bringing me such peace and priceless moments of awe, as it is so unpretentious, in its purest form and affords me a time when I can say....'God this can only be You!' Life as loan me a lot of bends, detours and pitfalls, I cry and worry but I never stay there. I refer to Ecclesiastes 3:1-8....Everything in life is seasonal, some longer than others, however I never give up, just in case at the next bend there is.... straight road ahead. Listening to you express part of yourself was like sitting in a room with an echo. I'm coming up to 50 and live alone with my dog. I feel content in my own company and space. I'm fortunate enough to drift around a stretch of semi rural canal on my boat, which is home in the UK. I'm closer to nature and at times feel so overwhelmed by the sheer collateral beauty that surrounds me. Thank you for sharing you.

I turned 60 earlier this year in January, so I feel every bit of what this man is conveying. I didn't grow up in a dangerous neighborhood back in the day, but I did feel like I needed to put on that mask of protecting myself and it did work for me in school because I put up that wall of not being approachable and with being a Native American in an all white school in the early 70's was pretty tough for a female. But, later on at a high school reunion, I did find out that I was portrayed to be this bad ass chick that no one wanted to mess with lol guess it was a good thing because it kept me outta fights or any tyoe of confrontations. But, thank you for this story.. what a genuine man.

I was in tears listening to his story. For everything he's gone through in his life, he has come out of it all with such wisdom. He seems so grounded, calm and wonderfully introspective about life. I truly believe that he will find the perfect relationship, the perfect person who will be authentically his forever. We all deserved to be loved and accepted for who we are.

I hear you and see you… I came from a family of generational abuse. Relationships are a struggle as I fight my way through myself. Hoping I won’t be alone too. My dogs are the loves of my life. Self worth is a major factor as I picked two emotionally abusive relationships to be in. Unavailable mother, and sibling abuse left me in a low place. I’ve read books, done meditations, and many other things to help myself none of it really worked. I just want to be happy and full of joy. Money is second. ❤ I worked through my shadows a lot and am in a better place but still abandonment and rejection floats up often. I see the little things as beautiful and I too laugh and find things silly and utter chaos of uncontrollable laughter rushes through me and it’s the best.

I can relate to this so much. I live near a child care center and I love to hear the sounds of children playing. I walk among the trees and find the beauty breathtaking. And I am alone in my senior years. And I was neglected as a child. Lots of trauma and mental illness in my family of origin. But you are a black man living in this country facing racism every day. I have no idea how that feels but I want to understand. You are worthy. You are enough.💗💗💗

I’m in my 50s. My husband passes away abruptly in May. I only had 4.5 healing years with this handsome (heart and body) man. I have never laughed so much. His death left a great space where I utterly lost my small self esteem. I have begun to heal. The mirror is harsh and get scared. It is my patch of woods and the river where I began to really see myself again. ♥️ Thank you for this interview. It was what I needed exactly when I needed it.

Awesome kindred spirit. I looked out my kitchen window this morning to see a spectacular view. It was dark orange, light purple, and blue, in layers like a birthday cake. In that moment of beauty I forgot all about my physical pains, financial woes, and concerns for my family, and all worldly suffering. I gathered strength to get through this day, looking forward to seeing the beautiful setting sun from my dining room window. Sometimes, I can go outside simply to admire the stars in the night sky and breath with the moon beams, and feel completely loved by the universe 🌌 🎉😊
