Paige Pierce | Behind the Drive

Спорт

Embark on a journey with Paige Pierce as she embraces a new chapter with Discraft. The 2022 season was nothing short of a roller coaster, filled with the highs of triumph at the Open at Austin and the OTB Open, to the lows of challenging losses and a season-ending injury before the European Open. But like the person she is, Paige's tenacity never wavered.
In celebration of Paige, we encourage you to discover 'The Drive'-Paige's newest signature disc, a symbol of her indomitable spirit. This disc is more than just a piece of equipment; it's a representation of the relentless determination that propels Paige forward, through every setback and victory.
Crafted with Paige’s insight, the Drive fits seamlessly between the finesse of the Surge SS and the commanding presence of a Zeus, 'The Drive' is ready to soar. Join Paige Pierce on her journey as she steps into a new dawn with Discraft.
This is not just a comeback; this is a new beginning.

Since the Passion is the best disc in my bag, you've earned my trust as the best disc creator Paige! (you're rackin it up 2-0 on Simon so far IMO... time lapse and pixel are un-usable) 2 of these on the way -- pumped!

I don’t agree, or at least don’t understand your point. In what way is the game changing that only newer players can play it best? Yes, there are more excellent players than ever before, but the elite players are still going to get their share of wins, because besides the high level of playing skills, the best players have a superior mental game. Sure, young players like Issac, AB, Kline, and Buhr will all probably have multiple wins this season. But it is also likely that Calvin, Ricky, Paul, Simon, and Eagle will too, if they can stay healthy. Athletes play best from their early 20s to their early 30s. That fact is scary when it comes to Gannon who already plays at an elite level at 19. Eventually all players age out and get replaced by someone younger. The only player mentioned above who maybe starting to age out is McBeth, but he is arguably the greatest ever, so his level is still higher than most, and he should still have a couple of wins in him this season. But no one is unbeatable: McBeth and Climo didn’t win almost every tournament they played. There are always other winners than those with multiple wins a season. I wouldn’t say that today’s game has changed in general for the better, but has “evolved” in the sense that more players are playing well compared to 15 years ago. And with more players playing well in today’s game, it is harder for even elite players to win when they are not at the top of their game, regardless of age.

Hahahaha exactly!!! She's so Fierce wih the Drive for Passion about her ego. She literally called herself the best and acted as if it was her game. She had a film crew follow her to make a documentary about her then she changed it to be about the game.

Yeah, nobody great has ever had an attitude like that. She was really talented, but never wanted to work on her weaknesses or learn to play smart. Always had to go for the hero shots. At one time she could have won every tournament by just playing smart, because she was that much more talented than all the other women. What a waste.
