She didn't have a great shooting game but she still kept shooting and she never lost confidence. She showed her championship mentality because she hit the most crucial shot when it was needed. Plus she fought through an obviously painful ankle injury in the 4th. That alone shows her killer instinct. Last night was a great night for women's college basketball to include Van Liths 6 three pointers in the Louisville game.

If I didn’t know better I’d say Larry Bird has a illegitimate child. 🙂

Paige is better than Stewie is practically every way, she’s WAY beyond her in shooting, handles and is the best passer ever. She’s also a stone killer. Put Paige on Stewie’s UConn teams and she wins 4 easily. You need to appreciate what you’re watching, she’s 2.0. New breed.

@@cbrend22 Stewart was a 6'4" forward lights out shooters inside and out, Paige is a 5'11", almost too small for the WNBA, jump shooter, point guard. Stewart is averaging 20 pt/9 rebounds in the WNBA, 2 X MVP, All-Defensive Team, she's a better scorer, higher shooting percentage, a shot blocker, defender, she has an actual pro body. Better in every way my ass, you're delusional. Nobody ever called MJ or LeBron goat BEFORE they won a championship. Paige hasn't won ANYTHING, she may not even be the best player in the current NCAA (Caitlin Clark led her in EVERY category), she most certainly is not the greatest passer, shooter (her inside game is weak at best) and she is definitely not the greatest player of all time. lol.

Persevering when you struggle is the sign of a great player. She seemed played team ball and stuffed the stat sheet in other ways. She is a freshman. It will be interesting to see how she shoots against the better teams as this goes on. Tennessee does have some serious length though. I was impressed other than that.

I've never seen a freshman play so versital then paige bueckers it's actually amazing for a player to take the game. LOVE IT!!

Seems like Paige was uncomfortable taking a lot of her shots. Only one that flowed was the last one.

This was the first challenging game for UCONN women's team this year, and it showed the team has some serious depth in both offensive scoring and defense. You don't know what kind of team you have until you face a serious contender.. then your flaws get exploited and your shots are not as relaxed... and its gut-check time. UCONN passed the gut check as a team so far and there will be more to come. Paige generates some serious gravity and she has consistently used that gravity to open other avenues for the TEAM to take high percentage shots and win games.

never count on UConn to lose a game ever😭

She is a solid all around player, but she plays on an excellent team. Its easier to be good on a high level team. If you're other teammates can't score the ball, it makes it alot tougher on you. If you have a dominate low post player like they do( and some really good other options ), its easier for you to get your shot as well.
