WOW, great game. Uconn made way too many turnovers down the stretch. Lucky to escape with a victory. Can't afford to do this against South Carolina. Should be a good game.
I don't see how you can bet against UConn at this point. The real X factor is Geno. I don't know what kind of relationship the kids on other teams have with their coach but you can see how much the players love Geno. It's obvious they want to win for him in the worst way.

You literally have virtually the same thing on the SC side. The Lady Gamecocks absolutely love Coach Staley. The difference is, they aren't on the floor to win it for Dawn - they are out there to win it for themselves. UConn/USC is going to be one heck of a great final!

Another amazing game! Of course I love watching Paige do her thing, but I wonder when Nika Muhl is going to get the press she deserves. Once again, she proved why she was defensive player of the year. The Woman is a lock down specialist! She consistently turns the momentum of a game in UConn's favor and is the perfect compliment to the UConn offense. Congrats, UConn Ladies!! I will be cheering you on! Peace to all!

An INCREDIBLE mistake made by Stanford's coaching staff in at least three of the few last action. If you say to your girls to press suddenly after a score then you MUST also say to remain on the same guy that is defending on you while attacking! It's absolutely wrong that each girl after a basket made had to loose 2-3-4 seconds to search on the ground the right girl to be pressed arriving with obvious delay. In fact in EVERY action starting from the line, Uconn had always an easy line of first passage free without any pressure on it. Simply ridicolous!

what you saw was a great UConn defensive not allowing them to dictate the positions. UConn, mostly Paige, was very tough on Hull and she was completely ineffective. That forced Jones to try to take over, but she’s a 13 pt a game scorer, not 25, and shoots a pedestrian 42% and an anemic 27% from 3. She does all her damage around the hoop and off a rebound or a dish from penetrating guard, but that wasn’t working, so she tried to drive herself into the lane work her low post moves. She actually did very well, but perhaps got tired and settled for bunch of jump shots late, which isn’t her strength.

I have been watching these tournament games with Uconn and I believe they are benefiting big time from the refs. In this game at the end 3:44 definitely wasn’t a charge and was a huge momentum swing. Also 5:07, she clearly walked after the inbounds with a no call from the refs. Ended up turning it over any that led to the big 3. Story line city.
