Truth. The tangible difference between a specialist and a corporation. I've no doubt that every single Pagani employee (even the janitors) feels a personal connection to the company and the cars they produce. The primary focus for corporations like Ferrari or Lamborghini, is the parent company's (Fiat and VAG) shareholders, not the customers who buy their cars or the people who build them.

@@KillersFromTheWest It doesn't really matter if it goes 0-60 in 3.1 vs 2.8 (as an example). Without a back-to-back comparison, you cannot really tell the difference. Also, unless drag racing, that little bit adds nothing to the overall driving experience 99.9% of the time. If one cares about that last little bit of straight-line speed, get a Telsa Plaid or similar EV. Give me the manual. The push in the back feels the same, the .3 seconds in only lost during the joyful act of shifting and I can live with that.

The muted color choices, dirt on the front intake, the scuffs on the pedals, primarily analog gauges and interfaces, pure engine power, the lack of electronic aides that let you get sketchy with it if you aren't careful, and the fact that not only did they make a manual in the year of our Lord 2024, but they went so far as to make it a dogbox to maximize those 23 shifts. Every single piece of it from concept to reality just tells with the utmost professional authority that it is a driver's car to the absolute fullest. What a beautiful love-letter to automotive engineering, and proper driving.

Great work Car and James! I haven't been watching many car vids lately, but this is excellent work. The best I've seen from Car. Excellent detailed driving impressions, and top production values. The dramatic music is annoying but that's what people want i guess. But the dialogue and delivery were excellent, thank you. Love the Utopia. It feels like a strong contender for peak car to me.

James has to be one of the best reviewers out there - his mix of driving ability and verbal skills really conveys the feeling of the car. I can barely mumble to my passengers on a deserted motorway, how James manages to pilot the Pagani at speed on those roads while delivering a piece to camera makes me feel I really need to up my game. Pagani's are not my thing but at least this review allows me to appreciate the skill and craftsmanship that goes into them. A fantastic episode.

Headlights are kind of a mixed bag but imo it's mainly the grille. If it was either a) the same height the whole way or b) instead of having the little arch at the bottom connecting the taller ends and the shorter center are, a vertical divider would have been perfect. Also, 2 tone schemes fit it far better.

While it is, of course, impossible not to have the upmost respect for Mr. Pagani and the craftsmanship, I just can't get past this design. The first thing that came to mind was that the Utopia looks similar to the Japanese monstrosity, the Misuoka Orochi. By themselves there are, without question, some beautiful pieces (the rear lights, for example) but as a package...Those wheels are an eyesore. While it's a trick of the eye, the tiny center makes the wheels look cartoonishly small. I highly doubt any owner will even race theirs to the point where they will need race level technology. Of course, eye of the beholder and all of that but, in my humble opinion, Mr. Pagani tried too hard to be different on this one. It, undoubtedly drives like a masterpiece (although, it has always been hard to get over Paganis having AMG power plants, when Mr. Konigsegg builds his own engines from scratch). I am sure that if I see one in the flesh (which is possible in Miami), I will appreciate what it is but it will still be difficult to get past its design.

They don't develop engine tech like Koenigsig, Ferrari or the like, so references to ultimate exotic have to be taken in context, but for pure driver visual and interactive experience, Pagani has no rival.
