Has the Malaysian narrative come to a point of a us versus them based on religion ?​​Just worried our nation is at such a point of hypersensitivity. More mature open discussions with good intent are needed across the divide. Hopefully we can hear more of the voice of the moderates? One wonders if the moderates are even the majority ?

The moral of the Sock Issue: When the political leaders hide behind the wall of silence, the Bully is emboldened to exact an insatiable retribution on the alleged guilty party, especially those coming from a different ethnicity and religion. Our political leaders have failed dismally. Thankfully, the Civil Societies have come in to defuse the tension, such as Prof. Tajuddin, KJ and Mariam Mokhtar. Are we okay ? You tell me !

KJ used to kiss the keris and shout Ketuanan Melayu. Truth is the pemuda Umno has always been used to deflect from govt's incompetencies and corruptions. He also bullied everyone to use the hyper expensive Mysetan app eventhough most people are worried about safety and privacy issue. He said Mysetan was safe cuz it was manned by KKM. Truth is Mysetan was hacked 2.2 million times as reported by local medias and Utusan as well. All politicians 2 X 5. Now Madonna wants rakyat to sign on to the nefarious Mydigital ID and Central Bank Digital Currency. Which means the central bank and the govt can control and bully rakyat. All transactions and banking activities will ultimately be controlled and monitored by the govt of the day. End of freedom and privacy. The people from western countries are pushing back but majority of Malaysians are ignorant and gullible.

And i will disagree Ong Kian Ming here that we as non muslims cannot ask the muslims to forget about it as it important to their religion simply because 1. this issue was overblown simply because of the word printed on it 2. We were not shown the same level of sympathy nor understanding when the gomen at that time took in Zakir Naik, a fugitive preacher from India, gave him PR here only for him to talk shit about chinese and indians here. The same was and is still being done by the likes of Zamry vinoth kalimuthu and Firdaus Wong who make it their mission to undermine other religions and lift up their "new" found religion. So no, I will say this, this was an overreaction by people claiming to be religious but was silent when other religions were being insulted.

If not mistaken the Home Minister did mention in KS some opposition or concerns from the Sabah government because there might be a real risk of the citizenship amendments opening the floodgates to ppl taking advantage of the system. I think it is very valid in light of the alleged Project IC (whether true or not, most would agree on the core issue of the influx of foreign immigrants there).

I actually registered padu except that I could not do the pengakuan and submit cause they said my information not completed cause I didn't fill up my PEKERJAAN. But I really not working as I have this chronic kidney failure and and am on dialysis. So although I submitted my Padu application before 30.03.2024 but unable to submit pengakuan. So is my padu registration consider successful?

I registered for padu on the last day. Today, 2 April, my bank acct has 5 charge attempts in CHF to it. All attempts failed as I don’t keep funds in that account.

Given how the IC data of millions of Malaysians are available for purchase on the internet, I find it hard to voluntarily provide anything more than basic information to any third party even if it is the Government.

As for why PAS and Bersatu is so quiet with this issue, my best guess is that they are waiting to ambush PH especially DAP. But everyone is being so quiet, so the ambush did not happen. Hence, every uninvolved politicians are quiet.

How do kkmart select their suppliers? Kkmart is supposed to be a one stop shop for customers who needs to purchase essential items without having to travel to larger supermarkets. If kkmart bankrupts, its not because of the boikots really, its more of not able to understand the local market n plus there is just so much competition out there that also provide almost the same thing as kkmart. People have other options. N by saying sorry also wont help to attract any customer unless u can offer better services n product that before. People dont buy bcos they feel kesian kat kkmart yg ada 880 shops. It doesnt work that way. N now so many convenient store yg ada mcm2 lagi imported product, why kkmart want to compete jual imported product too? Obviously other convenient store that is more modern has better imported product than kkmart. So, sell local product pulak.

i actually totally agree with the last malay comment about how this should have been handled. and just my 2 cents, i feel the problem is with the politicians playing the race game all this while and not even trying to allow us to understand each race or religion better. i may not have deal eat a lot of muslim food in SG , but do you know they will have their own return tray for muslim food even if there is only 1 stall? and do you know that when i was about to put in the wrong tray , it wasn't the muslims which stopped me, it was the chinese. Which led me to believe that, actually they are so inclusive and also understand how sensitive this can be even when this religion or race is a minority in SG. i believe we as malaysian have been branwashed a lot, not just the muslims but also non-muslim that we cannot have a all inclusive community. Guys, maybe run a show about HRD Corp and how they are a restraint in trade. 1) Force employers to pay 1% of their payroll to them. This is really a tax. 2) They require onerous forms and paperwork before, during, after the training. 3) Trainers must pay them annual fees, certification fees, accreditation fees, & a 4% commission on all trainer payments. Personally, if a client and a trainer come to an agreement regarding a training, why does the government need to get involved? Wouldn’t there be more training if the free market was involved. All these expenses increase the price of the training product to the client and less money to the training provider.

Yeah. What I cannot accept is the tearing of car film. It's not against the law, I won't get saman by JPJ or Traffic Police for using adequate car film. Why does puspakom requires me to remove it? I think car inspection should be an optional, not mandatory. Recently my father wanted to pass down his old car to me. I know how the car performed and how well my father maintains it. Why would I need to get puspakom inspected? And like you said they are not doing it any better than my trustworthy foreman. On top of the cost of puspakom service fee, I have to paid additional few thousands just to replace back my film that they scratched to destroy.

In terms of vehicle inspection system, there are many examples that could be used. For example, in Massachussets, they have a state vehicle inspection that is required every year as part of cars registered in the state. The inspection services are provided by registered autoshops where inspections are digitally recorded and submitted to the registry of motor vehicles immediately. In practice this works well and the conflic of interest doesnt really come up.

PADU From the getgo, it was doomed to fail. At least 50% (based on electoral stats) #1 The rakyat sees PADU = Rafizi #2 PADU is seen as "data mining." #3 It is convincing. To compare PADU to Singpass (Singapore version), it is like asking a lot. For Singpass, it started with only NRIC (ID), DRIVING LICENSE, CPF, and slowly subsidy was through Singpass. What the Malaysian government could have done was to send a team to Singapore and understudy Singpass and fine tune it to suit Malaysia. Like someone has said, jangan bodoh sombong. 😂

I am a very staunch supporter of DAP and even Pakatan. But after this issue of the SOCK, my political stand changes. I will moving forward not vote for PAS or PN but also not vote for DAP or PH. There will be at least 10 spoil votes there on. And also my respect which I hold highly before this for the NO.1 is now totally lost. Akmal make his political calculation and did what he did but the No 1 reaction and public statement did not reflect he is No 1 for all.

With regard to the citizenship status of stateless children born in Malaysia, it is concerning that they are not being granted citizenship rights due to perceived administrative challenges. The notion that the workload associated with processing citizenship applications for these children is excessive appears to be an inadequate justification for denying them their fundamental rights. It is important to recognize that the number of stateless children born in Malaysia annually is not exceptionally high, and therefore, the administrative burden should not be insurmountable.

I agree with you. Additional workload cannot be used to justify the denial of fundamental rights. If you cannot handle the workload either quit or hire more manpower. There should be a checklist of requirements to qualify an application. If all the boxes are checked then there is not question. If you rely on "budi bicara" then if the officer is in a bad mood or don't like your name, he/she can just deny the application. This is also relevant to all government departments when budi bicara is the perogative of the officer.

Why don't we give STATELESS CHILDREN temporary PR.
