The Scouser terminology is brilliant. Love it 😂
'nonce' was what was written on the cells of sex offenders and stands for 'not on normal courtyard exercise' so the screws (Prision officers) didn't let them out with general population.
3:39 paddy doing an American accent had my dyin😂😂
I think it's hilarious how many words mean one thing, and at the same time they also mean the complete opposite of that one thing. Context is key for sure 😂
I love the way you honor your heritage and how you bring in the whole community with your moments here in the light. Super stoked for pimblett vs dober, I thinks it's going to be an epic night for the both of ya's. Keep up the good fight paddy.
i loved the way you described half our scouse terms by using other scouse terms 😂 and jobe is rhyming slang jobaxi/taxi
Love the uploads on a Sunday bro keep em coming
I knew everyone of these words and the meanings my dad and his side of the family is scouse gotta love liverpool
Good to see you back doing well lad ull bounce back and put in an unreal performance in ur next fight
Ive practiced on my dog and now he doesn't understand anything I say and is going in circles 😆 proper confused 🤣!!! (because we already speak poor slack English in canada he barely gets now 🇨🇦 ! ) Lol thx Paddy .. my grandma Gough who was from England and my Nana from Scotland always called me an "ankle-biter" as a kid . Thanks for reminding me lol
Awesome thanks Paddy!!!
Joeb is from Joe backsy. Taxi. Its cockney rhyming slang that came to us with the traveling community , like a lot of words like chav was a young child until we reperposed it. Cool video cha bah.
Class this keep up the good content 🏆
Quite similar to west o Scotland slang so it's not a problem 🏴 most of it anyway 😂Good stuff Paddy really enjoyed this one 👍
Would absolutely adore a few drinks w the two ladies they interviewed 👏🏽👏🏽
Backslang originated in the prisons so the screws didnt know what the inmates were talking about. Easiest way to explain it is put 'aig' after every vowel in a word
@foxymc01

That explains a lot of why the ex used to talk backslang . That brought back memories 😆
Being a Scouser me self, i clearly don't have a problem listening to paddy, "yes lad is right fella"
This is awesome! Love it
I would love to see a Scouser meet an Appalachian and see if they could understand each other
Banger video!
This is brilliant 👏
AMAZING CONTENT!!!!

If memory serves correct, La comes from the Nordic rune script and denotes the full stop at the end of sentences, in rune a dot is actually a syllable. Basically echoes left over from Liverpool's first incarnation as a viking base. Likewise the word Ta comes from Scaninavian "Tac" which means thank you. The word Scouser comes from Lobscouse which is Nordic stew. Similar dishes are traditional in countries around the North Sea, such as Norway (lapskaus), Sweden (lapskojs), Finland (lapskoussi). I'm not sure if the first two are are actually true, would love to hear from an expert.

All correct but the first one. I think it’s just lad even more shortened down. Or just another way to say it. Scousers love having their own spin on things. I believe this as “la” is also said like “lar”.
The owl fella was the star of this show, boss 😂😂😂
Just fantastic

6:42 Isn't JOBE an abbreviation of Joe Baxi? As in taxi!
Exactly the same in Glasgow 😎😂🙏
In french Heavy is "lourd" and we use it in the same way than Heavy. For example we can say from a song htat we like "c'est lourd" what mean "that's heavy".
Lmao😂. That was hilarious!! Yeeeew!🇨🇦

PADDY !!!
Jobe is rhyming slang for taxi: Joe Baksi (old American boxer), taxi.
When I visited cousins in N. Ireland and Scotland, I couldn't understand a word some of them were saying when they were talking to each other. Especially the more country-folk of the family. I could tell they were speaking English but it was embarrassing not to be able to comprehend it. These words and meanings are so unusual if I was at a Scouser bar full of drunk Scousers I'm sure I wouldn't understand what anyone is talking about.
Yes Lad tell them Paddy. We're not english, we are Scouse.

Nope. You're English. Let go of the blind tribalism.
A lot of these id say are more northern as opposed to just scouse, a lot of these i here everyday and i’m 2 hours from liverpool
Majority of these are used all over the UK, or the north defo
The wools straight onto this one
Feeling like a proper Scouser
Lady of the night 🤣
belter the arl mickey on this haha
The jobe one is interesting . I first heard it in the 80s . We use to call a a taxi a joe la taxi after that song so maybe there's a connection or maybe some backslang going on.
Tra tra tra tra. So true.
Fuckin yes
most of these word are also used in newcastle i swear we are so similar. scousers and geordies hand in hand

This little old man that keeps yelling at people is fuckin awesome
The word "lemo" comes from the slang word for "Charlie" witch is lemon and barley. Meaning cociane
How many of these words are scouse because I've lived in Bradford all my life and hear 90% of these daily
Gaff - smoke a joint 😂
Interesting
Old guy was a legend
😂😂😂 you kill me paddy 😂😂 take me up on my offer bud lol but like I said would need a few weeks as I’m sat at133kg lol
Not just scourers say these. But I am from Cheshire though. Its next door. But never heard laa before I moved here ha

Just the same as Manchester except we don’t La or Cob on 😂😅
Yup know most of it … Aussie slang is much the same considering that they’re descended from O’l England 🤣🤣🤣
Yes paddy lar ur sick u lad haha
