@@yyyyyk yeah, i know what you mean. Some of my friends says they can speak spanish for example and if i ask them to say something they say "hola chicas cómo estas?" And thats it. 😅 But I grew up in switzerland and went there to a primary school, so german is one of my most fluent languages. To be honest my finnish and my French is not very good. I can live in this countrys and make conversations with the people. But if i should talk in the futur or past in finnish (my dad is finnish) or if i should speak about a area of Expertise like medicine or something in french, I might have some problems or make some mistakes. But thats the same with arabic. If I were to go to Tunisia or Morocco I would also have problems cause of the dialect😅. At least I can say i speak some languages and can travel around the world cause of my knowledge. But i also know that i never can speak 7 languages like native speakers. But thats not what i want and im happy with my knowledge. Now i focuse on italian 🇮🇹 Sorry for my long comment

@@Vale-theReal that's very cool and I think you have the right perspective on learning languages. Thanks for sharing! I've been learning and practicing Spanish for many years now, but I would only say that my speaking level is intermediate, although my comprehension is perhaps at an advanced level. Like you, my dad is from another country, Brazil, and while I understand Portuguese at an intermediate level, I don't think that I speak well at all. Getting to a fluent level in any language requires immersing oneself in it for a long time, like living in the country that speaks it for a while. That's why I'm not impressed with KZread videos of people that only know 4 or 5 sentences in each language. (the Lebanese girl in the video said "las idiomas" instead of "los idiomas", immediately showing her level of Spanish) I can say more than a couple of sentences in Mandarin Chinese, from practicing in DuoLingo for a few months, but I would never say that I speak Chinese with this level. 😂
