Georges St-Pierre & Hydrorevolution Aquatic Fusion Training Program

After injuring his ACL back in 2011 Georges St-Pierre, MMA World Champion, discovered drag resistance training with Aqualogix equipment and has never looked back. Not only did it help him recover from his injury quickly and efficiently, but it continues to be his go-to for strength and power training. At 37 years of age, Georges claims he feels better than ever before!
GSP has now partnered with Hydrorevolution to launch his very own Aquatic Fusion Training Program.

    I bought the aqualogix and that shit works. Im on the black ones that are medium resistance. I use the wrist band in addition to water gloves. Also, I do my arm workout in 9' foot plunge pool. Gotta get those shoulders under the water. go to failure and try not to drown. That is some resistance..lol

    It's funny to see how such methods are presented as modern even though Soviets had already used been using them. Or take crossfit. It's basically Olympic lifting with accessory work. Looks dynamic, HIIT and modern, but Soviet lifters had already been doing all that stuff.

    Training your nervous system using plyometrics is what some scientists have posited leads to the greatest increase in explosive ability. My advice is to learn about what marv marinovich endorsed, think if it’s logically consistent, then make a decision. I was fortunate to have trained under Marv, and in 2009 his training which includes water workouts is I would claim eons ahead of anything currently being done at even the Olympic level with some groups. You are honing your nervous system. Most physical performance training does not touch this, let alone attempt to, let alone conceive of the potential importance of such. From my personal experience, using Agualogix and doing water plyometrics increased my explosive ability more than any other physical training did, and there have been benefits I did not ever see with other physical training methods that are too good to ignore: reaction time levels, balance levels, coordination levels, propioception (spelling) level have all increased exponentially. There is nothing I have found on this planet that matches this training. Nothing. Go read Troy Polamulus (spelling) tribute to Marv in Dec 2020. Calls him a savant. Marv was a pioneer for America.

    For your muscles to grow they must be under tension. Somehow doing that under water makes it less damaging to your joints?

  • @hydrorevolutionfitness2649

    @hydrorevolutionfitness2649

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes! When submerged in the water your body weight is reduced by approximately 90%, meaning there is less overall impact on the body. Best of all while providing support and lessening the stress on joints the water is also generating resistance to help build muscle strength and power :)

    There is much resistance that doesn't allow you to go too fast but maintaining a good speed and the resistance is amplified not by weight but pressure through bigger surface. Basically you increase the volume of water you interact with(thus weight of water)
