Pacific Electric Ray Dazzles From a Distance | Nautilus Live

Ғылым және технология

Caution: it's electric! Drifting over the seafloor at night, the Pacific electric ray (Tetronarce californica) can produce an electric current to stun unsuspecting fishes--or deliver a discouraging jolt to a hungry predator. This ray was spotted at 70m while exploring the Southern California Borderland searching for ancient sea caves.
