The reason you have 99 votes for each award is because zach Lowe didn’t submit his this year. He said he didn’t like influencing wether or not guys got max contracts. He made a ballot but never submitted it

Is that really true? The way I took Lowe's explanation was that he told them not to give him an official ballot, he "filled one out" so he could discuss his picks on the pod

No, he gave up his ballot this year. He did a "fake" awards ballot to just show who he would have picked, he's made that clear many times.

Don’t think this is true. Every time he’s opened awards talk or mentioned awards races he’s specifically said “I don’t have a vote this year, but…” If he had this stance all year can’t see why they’d still send a ballot, or if Lowe knew they would it’d be closer to a protest lol

Now just the audio mixing but the direction during the playoffs has been brutal on both broadcasts. I have lost count of how many times we have missed a play in whole or in part because they're stuck on crowd shots or giving us a third replay. My number one NBA pet peeve and its getting worse.

ESPN has been doing a poor job with crowd noise with the nhl as well. Noticeably different for the nhl games on tnt

Talking about a double OT game - i just dont get any argument stating “that’s not the reason why xyz won/lost this game”. Super prevalent across the board which must mean i’m wrong, but i dont get it.

Also, I was in a liquor store and this woman came in to buy two bottles of Malort, which naturally I asked about. She said she owns a bar and she needed them because so many people have been ordering Malort shots. Now, I'm in Detroit, so not that far from Chicago, but it does seem like Malort is spreading out from the Windy City.

I feel every broadcast crew has their share of haters, I am numb to that criticism by now. I think Harlan is probably the only one who has zero haters, none. Outside some home team announcers, I would say most National American commentators are quality, I prefer some to others too, but they are all good. You wouldn't want to hear what our small nation has to deal with, the bar is different compared to voices behind multi billion USA tv money broadcast. We Euros usually have disadvantage in presentation, but we have advantage in atmosphere. I have been watching both, NBA and Euroleague play offs this past month, and to me, Panathinaikos vs Maccabi game 5 was easily the most entertaining game I have watched this season, because the atmosphere in OAKA arena was insane, it trumps any talent or production design disadvantage, its crazy how much better Euro games are. I think Americans will never understand what they are lacking, I am watching game seven of Denver series, and their team is down double digits with 100 seconds to go, but these people get exited and happy when shown on jumbotron, not to mention that atmosphere in arena itself is 100 times less exiting, to me, thats just sad.

I agree. If JJ takes a coaching job and gets replaced by RJ, I think it could be a decent team.

I really like all three commentators of Breen, Doris and JJ. But I don't think all 3 work well together. Example, JJ and RJ with Ruocco work well cause they have good comedic chemistry. I like Mark Jones and Doris together. But definitely think that Doris and JJ overlap a bit on their strengths

After the crowds at MSG and Gainbridge were blowing out the mics last round, the game in the Garden last night sounded like a February game. I wonder if those loud fans sitting behind the announcers in Bucks v Pacers caused the broadcasts to reduce the crowd sounds to avoid having rude things air on tv.

Reggie miller makes the TNT broadcast unwatchable for me. I don’t really like Jamal Crawford on commentary either but he’s only been doing it for a month or so and I’m happy to give him a chance but Reggie is a pain in the ass

Pacers are better than they get credit for but they can’t give up games like that and expect to win a series against Boston. The margin for error is too small.

I don't think that's true. They did the analysis here on the show, both teams made plenty of mistakes. If both teams had played really well then it would be a gutsy win.

Boston didn't "steal" anything. The better team won and will continue to win because this time the Pacers aren't facing a Bucks team without Giannis or a healthy Dame and aren't facing a Knicks squad with more of their payroll in street clothes than on the court. The incredible shooting luck of people like Andrew Nembhard is gonna run out. Celtics in 4.

At one point the FT differential was 25-3, 25 TO 3!! Pacers took more paint shots & less 3s than BOS. Thats how you rig a game and keep a team in it. Without the refs Pacers would've won by 8-10. Siakam gets pushed, jersey pulled, hacked, scratched, NO calls. Haliburton gets hacked, no calls. Same as the Knicks series. NBA says screw your small market.
