When we arrived in Medellin we drove through La Linea which is the longest road tunnel in all of South America.
Our first stop was Inflexion Memorial Park which is where the old Monaco Building was located, a former property of Pablo Escobar. It commemorates the victims of the cartel war from 1983 to 1994.
From there we headed to the very top of the Indes mountains until we reached the infamous La Catedral jail.
We took the escape route and hiked into the mountains. Along the way, we came across La Virgen de Los Sicarios.
After a difficult hike, we reached the final destination, Salto de Angel, which was a breathtaking waterfall.
