I really want to be fluent in english, a lot of people are judging me when I was Grade 7 because I don't even know how to say "Yes" and "No" when teacher's asked me everytime we have recitations. There was a time that, I just want to luck my self in my room because I have nothing to face with them(classmates), I can't even sleep properly because of those words that I always hear from them as "stupid", "you are not belong here", etc.. but I am very happy because I have my family who always support me, who motivates me everyday, they are the only person's to share my problems because, I know they will listen to me. And I ask mom if she will let me to say goodbye to my classmates, that will be the last day that I can meet them because my parents decided to hire a tutor for me. And when I enter my classroom, everyone's looking at me and I ask permission to my teachers if I can say something, and when I finished my speech, everyone's came to me and hug me and says sorry for me. I was very happy because of that. And now, I can say, "I'm not that good in speaking in english, but if you trust yourself, remember, Everything Is Possible"

Hello,I just want to tell you'll that i was grade 10 student's before when I want to learn how to speak English properly and fluenlty.Even I'm not that smart if u want to learn go for it.The first thing that I do is watching utube (English tutorial)and I always speak English in front in the mirror to maintain my grammar and my word

The problem for some Filipinos, they are very shy to speak English, My encouragement is , don,t be shy, do whatever desire of your heart is.

I was Grade 10 at that time when I was mocked by my classmates because of using highfalutin words. They thought I could not speak English but I told myself that I should take their treatment as a motivation that I can also speak English. I spent my vacation by reading 5 books. 2 English grammar text books, 1 Communicative English for Call Center agents, and two English pocket dictionaries. I also attended American Accent Seminar and I motivated myself that speaking English fluently will be my edge. I entered Senior High School with more confidence speaking in public. I am still learning. Now, being familiar on English (8 Parts of Speech) has been an advantage in taking BS Accountancy. Kaya guys especially people who want to take BS Accountancy, edge ang pagkakaroon ng good grasp at English.

Thank you po sa tips, nitong pandemic parang nadrain yung brain ko sa pag sasalita ng english words. Andami kong nakalimutan, minsan medyo napansin ko nahihirapan na ako makipag sabayan sa usaping english, iba yung naging epekto sakin ng pandemic. kumbaga nawalan ako ng communication to talk to someone/others kung kaya diko napansin na nagkaroon pala iyon ng epekto sa pakikipag usap ko. It will always depend on the person. We all have various techniques or ways in learning. Some of us are good at listening and some of us learn easily through watching. I think the better way in saying this is “One of the best ways to improve our English skills is through reading books.” That is why we have this so called 4 basic language skills. They must work together for faster and better learning. But we also do need to consider our environment. It’s great to socialize with people who speak English. In that case, you can practice what you’ve learned. 🙏🏻❤️

According to what I've read, there is a so called "critical period hypothesis" wherein language acquisition becomes easy. But when it goes beyond that stage, language acquisition becomes slow and difficult. But i believe, although we passed already that period, we can still learn the target language simply by exposing ourselves to it.🥰

Thank you sir for giving us a substance that really needed to put in our mind .. it helps me alot .. I'm also a self study person .. these past few weeks I tried to read to speak and listen in English conversation and now I'm happy because I can speak English a little but not very well .. but at least now Im able speak 😉

I have only one tip......Always watch cartoons even though you're already teenager or what, because base on my own experience...when I started to watch cartoons in our TV I started to learned basic English and until I notice that I can really write English stories and essay by watchijg cartoons, amazing right?..and also you can learn English faster when you like the strategy of teacher in teaching English because you can focus on what she or he is teaching... Recommend cartoons:(Fairy odd parents,Gumbble,The regular show,Uncle grandpa)

Many Filipinos have the ability to use the language but they lack the confidence to speak. Smart shaming is very common in the country. We feel like we need to have a perfect grammar before we can use the English language. Second, English language in the Philippines is not just a language. Sadly, It is also considered as an indicator of social status and even a measure of intelligence. The language of the elites and the intelligent. This perception about the English language has to change as it inhibits most of us to use it. Third, our perception about the language is that it is---"foriegn." We don't feel like we own the language, making us feel less entitled to use it. We need to own the language and be at home with it to gain more confidence in using it.

Thank you sir! For your English lessons. I have difficulties when it comes to English speaking even though i always been practicing everyday, but no one comes to my mind. Cause When i was in highschool, my goal was to have fun not to learned every lesson given by my teachers. Thus, that's why i hate myself for being lazy. I want a new life. Because I'm college student right now. And i know college is different from: Shs, Junior even elementary. So i promised to myself "Never stop learning " and also never give up. Please! Correct me i guess some of my Grammar sentences are wrong hehe. Thank you!
