I used to be shy and afraid to talk in English. Then one day I applied in a BPO company because it's one of the highest paying jobs that time. The interviewer was so intimidating and scary so in short I stuttered and didn't respond to the interviewer appropriately. So I failed, but then suddenly the interviewer changed it's aura from scary to angelic and gave me all the advice to improve in speaking in English. So I took her advice and now I'm in the BPO industry for 12 years. The advise was to watch English movies more often, read English books aloud, talk in English even just for fun. I still don't speak English perfectly but that's how I improved. Thanks to that interviewer. Hope makatulong ito.

When I was in elementary/high school, favorite ko yung English subject lalo na pag ang teacher medyo strict. That is why I maintain high grade and honor student din ako. Akala ko madala ko sya hanggang College but I was wrong. Maybe because of family issues regardless of how my siblings treated me. Out of know where I forgot that I’ve ruined my studies and put my confidence into my packet. Subrang na hiya ako, subrang nakakawala ng gana. I walk away and trying to look whom I trust. Nag enroll ako sa College and find job to support myself and my study as well. I expect so much na hindi na maulit muli yung nangyari way back in high school. Akala ko mabait mga College student malakaibigan not bully nor judgmental but I was dreaming all along. Wala din akong friends dahil siguro wala din akong time if ever my friends ako dahil may work din ako. Masayahin ako sa work pero pagdating sa school parang nakakapagod pumasok dahil napapaligiran ako ng mga taong mapanghusga. Mahirap kapag wala kang kaibigan sa school gusto mo man mag report maki pag debate pero pag wala kang friends to chir you up to support waley haha. Kaya para ma maintain ko yung CHED scholar ko ako gumagawa ng mga report paper etc. Nahihiya din akong makipag sabayan sakanila kasi my class sila. Hindi nman sa mahina ako sa English. Nahihiya lang talaga ako to speak in public. Nahihiya din ako lumabas ng dorm. Subrang laki ng damage sakin when it comes to family issue. Sa ngayon I started building myself back medjo ok nadin kami sa fam ko. And planning to have masters degree and taking units for education. I just realized bakit ako mahihiya e pariho lang tayo tumatae ng mabahu at mamatay. Gud luck sa lahat! Merry Christmas 🎁 have a bless new year.

Do not take everything seriously. One effective way to learn is to have fun as it has always been observed on many people who are good speakers of english. In addition to this, do not be afraid of making grammar mistakes due to the fact that it is part of your journey. If you don’t make mistakes, you will not move forward.

My experience do watching videos by English subtitles everyday. Reading poets of English and don’t forget to discover more words of English to enhance your learnings. Talk your self even without neighbors at your side by speaking English to improve your fluency.

I think one of the easiest way to learn English is to talk to our locals and foreigners who speak English language.

I'm a freshmen but i admit that i'm not literally good when it comes to oral even the written but i'm trying my best to become a good speaker,now i'm still in the process.

I got into it. I wasn't so serious in my studies during my elementary & junior years especially learning English. I never thought I will take up Engineering until I graduated in High School because my father who decided it. It's really embarrassing if you have difficulty expressing yourself, and even a huge barrier to share your ideas inside the class. When you speak or write, do it simpler but with correct grammar as much as possible. I suggest you to read the Bible written in standard or modern English along with Tagalog translation (same version especially New Testaments).

First step: Don't be afraid to speak in public even though people laughing at you.

The simplest way to learn how to speak English is environmental exposure. Stay on a place where people speaks English often so you'll have an everyday practice. It depends on the environmental atmosphere that you are in.

4th year na po ako ngayon but my English is still bad😣... That's why I prefer written works than oral. But thanks God I survived and I got good grades in Purposive Communication Subject. Ang minsan sa kaba hanggang sa upuan lang pero pagnasa front kana, di mo na namamalayan na okay pala ang English mo.

I think the country's education system should put less emphasis on the English language and focus more on leveling up the state of our own language, Filipino. This'll greatly improve the students critical thinking and make overall learning easier.

This is a good tip. We are required to use English but from the outside world most people aren't that good in speaking in English, mostly in workplaces with different nationalities. Basic English is enough to understand each other. Don't worry on people who stereotyping your grammar, they don't have any idea on the reality of the outside world.. It can improve over time.

My secret to becoming fluent in English; I always use English words when I pray and talk to God. Especially in my personal prayer, in my family circle, and to the kids. Children don't laugh at you when you commit a mistake at the same time you teach them and you learn also from them. And familiarized basic English grammar then use it in your daily conversation. And practice makes perfect.

Pinaka top na university sa pilipinas ay nasa 600 to 750 in rank sa world university. Ang dahilan ay ang batayan ng mga pilipino sa talino ay magaling mag English. Hindi tinuturo ang critical thinking. Pilipinas lang ang masyadong nag focus sa English sa buong mundo. Kaya ang edukasyon natin ay kulelat.

Minsan maayos naman ako kapag written, pero minsan hindi. Sa oral talaga ako ligwak pero I can say that watching movies/series/shows which uses English has helped me. I also speak out my thoughts sometimes using English kahit sarili ko lang kausap ko. Reading also helped me to broaden my vocabulary range. And it's also helpful that I have a friend from USA. She tells me if there's something wrong with my sentence construction and my choice of words/terms. I'm learning a lot from her and through her.

Need talaga natin gumawa ng paraan para matuto ng English language lalo na sa mga subject konektado sa law pag dating kac sa midterm and final exam malaki Yung chansa ng bagbagsak kapag iba yung pagkakaintindi ni professor sa gusto mo iparating sa sagot mo. Tips wag mahiya, hayaan mo mag karoon ka ng maraming pag kakamali, tapos matuto sa pagkakamali, do research sa words na di mo ma intindihan.

I'm in my senior year in college and I'm still far from mastering english language, I'm not good in oral not even in writing. Months from now gagraduate na ako, maghahanap ng trabaho pero hindi ko pa rin magawang magsalita ng straight english. Although minsan kapag may mga written works akong dapat gawin, minsan naman nakakagawa ako ng maganda kahit papano. Kadalasan reaction paper at poems and essays. Nakaka frustrate, nakakadagdag sa stress na dala ng reality na kahaharapin after school life.

I learned speaking English not in school, but through watching anime and reading manga, and as time goes by I realized that I can speak and construct my own sentence, nag ka trauma kasi ako sa mga teacher ko and I'm a victim of being bullied kaya walang ganang pumasok that's why I watch anime just to entertain myself

I love the tip 50/50, thank you Ma'am. In junior highschool I was traumatized in our english subject because while I was reciting one of my classmate just tease me that I'm trying too hard. But it made me more eager to be fluent in english but still I'm concious so thank you so much prof for this tips. Tbh we don't need to be the literate or best in speaking in English. I too, have been struggling in learning the language. Lalo na sa mga starters na grammar-conscious. Sabi nga nila "it's not the grammar, it is the message that matters" so as long as what u are trying to convey is understandable, it is okay.

Yeah, this is good. When I was a first year college, I have didn't no to construct the grammar in English. But I encourage myself to go in the library and to read any kinds of books to increase my comprehension.

I just want to share mine. I was an idiot when it comes to English back then especially when I was in grade school but then I learned that reading English novels that really fits to your preferred genres was a big help. (Sorry for my English. I know I'm not good enough but I'm making sure to improve.)

Exposure lang mga teh para matuto. It's pretty normal naman kung college kana, then you still not good in english pa rin. Since hindi naman "natin" or ilan sa atin ay first language ang english. Siguro wag masyadong matakot magkamali ang suggestion ko, WAG PO KAYONG MATAKOT MA JUDGE AT PAGTAWANAN SA ENGLISH NIYO KAPAG NAGKAKAMALI. If you want to be efficient, be open-minded person. Ako din kasi di masyadong marunong mag english eh! Pero imitation, acceptance, and perseverance. For sure mableeding nose na tao sayo kapag kausap ka.

I graduated with BSED-English but I am still afraid of speak the language itself. I barely passed written and oral examinations because of my classmates. In my teaching demos, I got almost perfect grades and all of my teachers said the only thing I lack was my pronunciation. Fortunately, I had very supportive classmates to help me survive in college. I have just taken the LEPT exam last Sunday, Oct 2, 2022. I hope I passed the exam. While waiting for the result, I will look for teaching job, although I am not that good at speaking, I want to step into an educator and be successful someday. Although, I am not good at speaking, I want to be an inspiration of a learner who has anxiety of speaking the language too. That it should not be the reason why to stop dreaming. Mocking someone's English speaking skills or any skills is the same as you are stopping someone from success.

Relate sir..wala ako confident mag english sa harap ng tao natatakot ako baka wrong grammar ako..peru pagmasulat lang kaya ko namn.

Wow! Super galing naman.. kaka proud naman..

I was a 2nd year college student and it is hard for me to construct some sentences, i don't know how to make a Reflection and reaction paper without the help of Google. I was too shy to participate in our oral recitation.. I am good in math but i don't know how to speak English fluently every time I've tried to speak in front of many people ,. Speaking in public is my weakness 😩

Yeah that's true maam, lalo na pag new curriculum ka or galing kang SHS wala nang Filipino subject pag di connected sa subject mo, as Business Student always po talaga ang oral recitation if di fluent ang english at least majority of words englishan talaga

I targeted call center industry. I applied even though I dont know how to speak fluent english HAHAHAHA. well, it helped me so much. I turned my weakness into a strategy and motivation.

It's not about you SHOULD learn Filipino or English language. Learning English is not bad, either Filipino. I think we should stop to emphasis what should we learn first, since we are Filipino it should be the first to learn since it is our mother language. We only study other language because we want to communicate in other languages. Also, learning English has a lot of benefits since it is a national language. We can communicate to foreigners a little even if they are not that good in english. It can also lead us to work in other countries or lead our business in other countries.

Maam asked Lang po tumigil po Kasi Ako Ng 1st yr high school pwede po bang mag Aral ulit gusto kopo Kasi mag Aral ulit Pero 22 yrs old napo Ako tapos nawala ang card ko Sa school response maam please gusto ko lng po Kasi mag Aral ulit para Sa future ko thanks ma'am

I also have difficulties in english and it's really hard for me specially in making essays and research papers that's why rn I am improving myself by reading too much english novels and I think I did improved a little, also researching words that's hard for u to understand helps widened your vocabulary

Thankyou so much for the tips ma'am, I also have difficulties in english and when it comes to oral speaking .I am afraid to speak a lot in front of many people because they might jugde me and laugh at me ,and all this time I still don't have enough courage and confident to express my opinion and ideas .Back in elementary days i got bullied by my classmates because of my wrong pronunciation of some words that why those times i hate to recite nor to speak because i am afraid to make mistake but now i'm a SHS student and I'm consistent honor students since jhs

I'm a 2nd year college na taking IT more on coding siya but I want to improve my skills in speaking English and do more activities about English ako kasi ma'am shy type super dimo ako mapareport in front of our class kasi afraid ako magspeak Lalo na english. Pero now di nya siya masyado nasasanay na din. And Isa pa ma'am nakakaintindi ako Ng English pero kapag ako na nagenglish Wala na diko na alam if San na papunta hahahaha kaya sana maimprove pa tong engslih sa life ko very well said needed Kai tlga.

I'm not good in English and now im in College and its difficult to me to do my task because im not good in english but i always practice my english. like when i chat my friend i use english to practice or i watch english movie and reading english article books etc. Now i think that my english skill was improved. Tbh im not good at all. My grammar is bad but i try best to be good in english.

Takot ako pumasok sa college kasi hindi talaga ako masyadong marunong mag english, pero iniisip ko nalang na kahit mapahiya ako or what okay lang basta mag improve yung english skills ko. Btw thank you po❤️

Ako po working na and and i admit po takot pa rin ako mag english kahit nsa BPO ako kc hnd ko po tlg napapractice. hnd ako nagkamali na nilagay ko ito sa watch later ko .. napapasmile po ako hbang pinapanood at pinakikinggan ko ang advice niyo po kasi intro pa lang umayon na sa gusto ko at kailngan kong marinig.. naisaisip ko na agad na important po tlg tong matutunan kc ang daming gamit ng language na ito. Ang sarap ulit mag-aral. Nakakainspire po kayo thank you po. I will try my best pra mapractice ko pa rin magenglish. ♥️

Mas maganda bata pa talaga ma practice na sa English ang mga bata mula sa kanilang bahay habang lumalaki. Kasi sa totoo lang ang pilipinas puno ng descrimarion sa pinag aralan sa pag sasalita, sa physical personality sa idad etc . Kaya nga estudyante makinig kayo sa mga nag papayo sainyo. Tama ang sinasabi ni madam.

Tama sa Pinas madami talagang descrimination tagalog nman national language nating mga pilipino pero yong ibang mga kababayan natin natutu Lang mag English pa English English Lalo na sa harap ng camera kausap nman Kawa pinoy hay ano ba nangyari sa Pinas ngayon
