Thank you Sir for sharing your strategy. In Today's world, everyone is looking for instant gratification and look for stocks that jump 20-50% in a month. What they don't realize is that it has the same potential to go down 20-50% as well. Your strategy of looking for low volatile stocks that move at snail pace, but going up consistently is what everyone should be following as well. Good one. One thing that I want to call out is, you mentioned "expensive" stocks. What you actually meant was stocks that has high trading price. The word "expensive" means that the current price of the stock is expensive when compared to its valuation - but clearly thats not what you meant here.

You are correct but many of these stocks are also "expensive" but valuation is more an opinion

Instead of hdfc bank you could have bought bank bees which will give you more diversification in banking sectors. You will get good divident in Ioc and coal india but price will not go much from here. If any of the stock is not moving try selling its call option. So that you will get some regular income out of it.

Thanks a bunch again for giving such valuable insights. By the way, I'm confused with one aspect here. In case of direct stock investing, you don't like value investing but in case of mutual funds you like Parag Parikh (PPLTE) fund which follows Value investing approach. I'm afraid I'm missing something here. If you don't mind, can you throw some light on this?

@@pattufreefincal I am also confused on this aspect of your investing methodology. I concluded (my conclusion, I could be right or wrong) that your direct equity investment follows your MF investing in the method that you invest systematically.. such that you average out your buying price. But then again we (your viewers) should also keep in mind that your direct equity basket is your satellite portfolio. Pattu sir.. I wonder if your direct equity basket is included for your asset allocation.. whether you rebalance it with debt?

No need this much diversification in mutual fund as your cost of SIP is very low. So go for each 1 large and mid cap fund or 1 index fund more than enough
