P2614 P2617 cam/crank codes on a 6.0 Ford Super Duty

This codes can be misleading, check other codes first. This one had codes for injector #6, and was shorting out. It caused a harsh no start problem, and once it was disconnected... truck fired up right away.

Thank you for the video. Best save ever. I had family from out of town over and we were having breakfast before they left. When my brother in law tried to start after breakfast to leave to head from Chicago to Florida the truck would not start. We did some tinkering and pulled the codes. I searched KZread a d found your video. Same issue, same codes, same injectior. We disconnected the pluf on injector 6 and she fired right up. We are at ford now buying and injector to replace injector 6. You are the man!

Faulty codes! Don't you just love computers running diesels? Do you think that was what Rudolf had in mind? Very helpful video. Thank you.

This is an extremely good video I had one that was showing circuit high on injectors 2 3 5 after watching this video I realized that it wasn’t 2 3 5 it was 8 the one I didn’t have a code for because the power supply in the ficm is broken down to 2 3 5 8 and 1 4 6 7 so after realizing unplugged 8 and it started right up

I had a no start with cam position sensor code twice. I replaced the cam sensor both times and fixed the problem. So, it very well can be just that, contrary to the video.

Rodney make sure your FICM has 48 volts minimum. 48 is actually the lowest spec, and have seen them at 52. 47.2 is probably the lowest you want to see them. grab a scanner that you can see that reading. Or go to a good shop that will tell you where it is. Injectors are the other suspects, as with the High Pressure Oil Pump. The pressure regulator on the filters is another. There's a few good videos out there on the swap.

What would cause an 06 f250 to randomly die? I upgrade the sct plug, dummy plugs, stand tubes, new crankshaft sensor, new camshaft sensor, 47.6 volts at ficm and still this truck randomly dies. Most times it starts right back up and occasionally it take a few tries. I just changed the oil and put new fuel filters in. Got and clues on what it could be? I also get a p0627 code and I have replaced that plug and harness but still I get the code

Fuel pump relay , in the fuse box it’s a non serviceable relay you’ll replace the whole fuse box. lI’m assuming that’s what it is cos I see it all the time but would have to diagnose it before I’d say that’s it

What's going on. I have a truck at my shop thats got me stumped. Intermittent no start or stalls while drivng, P2614 was present, found engine harness chaffed. I replaced the engine harness, cam sensor & crank sensor. No engine won't start, I have SYNC but FICM Sync says no, sometimes yes and will start then shut off. I've tried a new FICM and pcm still same symptom. Any advise would be great!
