    I have a point to add. In addition to the wooden wedges, the guard and the loco pilot/ALP should have applied the handbrakes/parking brakes in both the RRMs/SLRs at the either ends as well as the loco respectively.     Locomotive ka khud ka break nhi hota jo apply kar ke train ko roka ja sake? Those pipes are used to apply break in the entire train.

    Locomotive ka bhi khud ka independent brake hota hai. Locomotives mein brakes ke 2 levers hote hain. Ek train ka brake lever aur dusra engine ka independent brake lever jisse sirf loco mein brakes apply hoti hai. Iske alava ek mechanical parking brake bhi hota hai jiska steering jaisa handle hota hai. Mere khayal se loco pilots train ko park karke loco ka independent brake apply karna bhul gaye the.

    Still question is unanswered... Railway brakes system is designed in failsafe manner.. as u said if there is enough air pressure in brake & feed pipe, brakes will be in release condition.. and if any failure in those pipe (disconnections or leakage) brakes are applied automatically.. so If you are saying that brake pipe are disconnected from loco, then brakes of all coaches should have been in applied condition, & hence no movement of train..

    Went through another video.. feedpipe is used to maintain pressure for piston to operate.. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nn-Zp8pyc6_YkpM.html So.. if the feedpipe is not fixed.. the piston may not have worked.. and the brakes were released.. This could be the theory.. Holes in this theory... especially empty rake.. how is pressure built up in the cylinders of the coaches without loco?? Need more explanation about 2nd scenario...

    @@girichandra4320 Every locomotive has a compressor to keep air pressure in BP & FP pipes throughout the train. For compressor to work engine has to always in ON state. When air pressure is released then brakes are applied on wheels.

    When loco pilot or assist loco pilot got to know that train started moving backwards, they could have started the train to move forward by little pressure so that to balance train neither move backward or forward until they get green signal to move ahead, once green signal provided they could have moved the train with full power to reach station and inform the station master about the issue to get all support from home station to avoid the mishap which happened

    First you said, when brake pressure is maintained, brake shoes remain in released condition. If pressure is released the brakes get applied. Then for the accident case you said, due to collision, the BP started releasing and pressure started dropping. If that was the case, then as per logic the brake should have get applied automatically. Why didn't that happen ? The root cause was, when the leakage happened in the brake pipe due to collision, the LP would have isolated the brake pressure of the entire wagons from the locomotive with the use of a brake pressure control valve given at each end of locomotives and wagons. They would have done this to stop BP drop. After they would have done so, the BP would have remained maintained in the wagons and as they were in a gradient, they started rolling back. As the BP isolation valve was on, the locomotive was not in a position to apply brake. And hence was the catastrophe. Please make a apology video for this and give the correct reason in that. Don't betray your followers.

    Because the amount of exhaust which they produce is very high if they use to keep exhaust down then it would get to the coaches of train which would let passengers increase difficulty and other vehicles have at the end of the vehicle and they don't have much exhaust that would disturb someone and its at very bottom side of vehicles, and if the exhaust have to take place then it would be on cars hood such as Tractor, and it would affect the look of the car and take place in cabin even they can't see the front view to drive This is my opinion Maybe few opinions doesn't match

    Very good information. But I think railway should think to develop some technology to avoid such incidences because such occurancences are unavoidable. In theses days of advanced technology railway should not relay on old traditional braking system. In addition to the present braking system addition backup system should be invented.

    I guess there are 2 points that came to my mind that remain unanswered. 1. Locomotives are capable of applying brakes independently that is these are the brakes on the locomotive units only and do not apply brakes on any of the coaches. There is no clarity on whether that brake was applied or not from the railway. 2. What I was thinking is can the locomotive apply forward pull pressure during that time. That might have worked I guess. or the driver might not have applied fearing that the coupling between coaches might break

    apne bola ki Alp ne pressure pipe ko sahi kar diya tha और ब्रेक शू रिलीज हो गया था..uske baad to wo log locomotive se easily pressure ko kam karke train ko rok sakte the na...🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

    Don't provide wrong information when you don't know how break system works in locomotive.... It was a human error which led to this incident. By the way I am also an Assistant Loco pilot..

    Actually they could have applied manual brake in loco but if guard applies in rear slr then train would have derailed. Actually lp or alp could have informed guard to apply manual brakes when train just starts to move Please do consider my comment
