Bark at the Moon is all anybody talks about. The other album Jake did with Ozzy, the Ultimate Sin is full of amazing music, and as far as Jake E Lee's wizardry, wipes the floor with BATM. 'Never' 'Lightening Strikes' 'Killer of Giants', the title track - none of it is remembered, Ozzy never played any of it live after the tour ended for it. It's one of the great Ozzy records - Jake is on fire, and Ozzy, with the money and the booze (as well as a certain sadness about RR) just ballooned in weight and as a direct result his voice was more powerful and passionate than at any time in his entire career. Just listen to 'Never' and tell me that isn't Ozzy at his most powerful.

I mean he's amazing in sabbath, especially on Sabbath Bloody Sabbath in '74. But i think there is an urgency and passion in his voice on Ultimate sin that is unlike anything he had ever done. His voice is huge. Some of his best singing.

Agreed. His snare drum was mighty - leading the charge, constant and valiant! That was his Paiste RUDE period. I had a full set of those back in 1984. In fact I was the first guy to get them in the whole Bay Area. I love those things and I still have a few - a Sound Edge bottom (with an ancient 2002 black logo bottom on top) and 18/20/22" Crash-Rides. The 1983 22" Ride/Crash was the first one I bought, and the only one that didn't eventually break, so that's a treasure. If you want to see/hear some nice Tommy drumming - check out the Whitesnake Live at the Hammersmith Apollo 2004.

@@vandenbos6401 there are different types of singers. If Ozzy were a joke singer then Sabbath would not have made it off the ground and Ozzy by himself would definitely never have had s successful solo career. You can say "oh Sharron is the one that made Ozzy famous" and you would technically be correct because she did have the makings as a great manager. But great managers can't make you big if you don't have any talent.

Then with randy creating a eerie style of heavy guitarl blue printing the path for his solo career. Then again with jake ,the only guy who could truly follow randy without trying to copy him..Then even zakk was perfect even tho he couldve been replaced easier than the previous

I lived in this little Mormon town and thought I was really doing something I shouldn't have been. lol It felt so good I never looked back. Jake did a hell of a job standing in Randy's shoes here! This wasn't even a year after the accident and before Bark at the Moon was released so I can only imagine the pressure Jake must have been under at the moment. Love RR and Jake, big part of that creative process was due to Bob Daisley the bass player(seen playing in this video). Bob wrote or co wrote many of Ozzy's greatest hits working with Randy, Jake and Zakk. He wrote lyrics, pieced together ideas and provided compositional framework. Bob along with countless others screwed by Sharon.

Very true. I think Ozzy finally squared up with him and the others. Without Bob you had nothing. Ozzy owes his post Sabbath career to Bob. He wrote everything. Ozzy was and is a singer ..a vocalist. not a lyricist as the credits on the first 4 solo albums would have you believe. Sharon is without a doubt the biggest fuckin cunt in the business. she took pride in fucking people out of their publishing rights then kicked them out of the band. she would have done the same to Randy had he not been killed.
