Yeah, there is so much setup that is so unnecessary, if there was no slight of hand involved. His dictating of who touches it, and when, how the envelope is opened, which piece is pulled out, etc etc. Make no sense. If he wanted us to believe he guessed all of that right, there are way more simple ways to handle the info. Hell, just record a video.

I love the show but this was my least favorite draft special in years. I thought the coverage was really sloppy and unorganized. Picks weren’t being announced all the time and some guys got almost no air time. Mad Mel didn’t have many funny moments. Bostons comedy wasn’t utilized and given the spotlight it should have been. Extremely disappointing

Good thing he’s not a magician, he’s a mentalist. There’s very few magic “tricks” that mentalists do, like 99% of it is literally just psychology and planning. Take the Packers/San Fran guess, he knows Ty is a Packers Fan, he knows that Packers Fans want to beat the 49ers. Any “Tricks” they do are 99% of the time a bait and switch for the few predictions they get wrong.

@@Neotidus I mean I have no issue hearing him speak. The information alone is entertaining enough. Plus, let's not act like he was speaking last night as he did in his press conferences. He spoke like most analysts do. I guess when the level of interest isn't that high, a fan will need a certain very high energy approach to remain engaged. Like I said, nothing wrong with that, that's the way most American sports fans are built. It's more about what goes on around the game than the actual game. The problem is seeing that as a negative. What we can agree on 100% is he was on the wrong show. He doesn't fit the audience that the PMS generally has.

The first rumor mill was excellent, but too spicy for ESPN. They had to tone it down and it quickly became cringe. Either do it right, or don't do it at all.

The problem with this segment is that predicting that many picks correctly is way too absurd to be believable. Nice sleight of hand but it’s clearly fake which made it feel like a waste of time and dumb. On top of that they missed picks because of it when you have the GOAT sitting next to you ready to give analysis and breakdowns.
