I love your videos. Thank you for the helpful info about harvesting oysters. The last video I watched was the razor clam video. Thank you! Rules here in Washington State is a bit different. We're required to put the shells back. We'd honestly prefer to keep them in their shells! NZ is a dream destination for us!

Absolutely and thanks for watching! This place is Dosewallips State Park. Recommend you visiting the WDFW website for site information. Also, they will close areas every so often so check the website first before going out!

That's awesome! We might try to fish that area this season. It's called Rocky Brooks Falls. Not too far away from the state park.

A little unfortunate that they have to be shucked before taking home, I like to put them in the shells onto the smoker... I'll stick to getting them from the oregon oyster farms for now I suppose.

However, we highly recommend checking out WDFW's website for the best up-to-date spots oyster harvesting. You can set some filters in no time and you might even be able to find a spot near you!

This was on the west side of Kitsap Peninsula. We highly recommend going to WDFW's website for list of beaches for clamming!

Yes. You can get the daily one from Bass Pro or Sportsman Warehouse. However, the annual one is a better deal.
Wash using the sea water but I love mine raw I love youchild blame the raccoon lol

Need to have a fishing license to harvest Oysters here. This beach currently has a limit of 18 per day.

Geoducks are the ones with the long syphon and brown shell. At first we thought pronunciation was Geo-duck similar to Nat-"Geo" but came to find out that it is actually pronounced Gooeyduck! Confusing but either way, those things are great tasting!

The tide was low at that point and there were tons of seaweed and algae around.
