OXI One Tutorial: Master the SH-101 Style Step Recording Feature
In this tutorial, we will show you how the new SH-101style step recording works and how to quickly and easily start sequencing with it.
Step recording in the SH-101 style allows you to create sequences by inputting each note individually, step by step, rather than recording them in real time. This feature is helpful when creating intricate and precisely timed melodies or to try luck and get unexpected patterns.
The Step recording feature is available in most of the OXI One Modes. Notes can be entered with an external keyboard as well.

You can use step recording in a studio and live performance setting. Try it out to create arpeggios, evolving patterns, and layering basslines and melodies. It encourages an interative approach, allowing you to modify individual steps to explore new musical ideas without having to re-record entire passages. Don't be afraid to give it a try!

For anyone having trouble using pick and place, it wasnt working for me until i changed up the velocity and with the other knobs just to see what happens, all of a sudden pick and place seems to be working just fine now 💜
Seems like the OP-1 sequencer with numbers, but much better 😊

Can you enter pick and place chords in poly mode with an external keyboard? For instance play a chord on a midi controller keyboard and it will remember that chord when you add it to the sequencer?

At the moment you can only pick one note at a time. But it would definitely be a great addition!
Can one play in a pattern on a keyboard? For example, can I press record, have a 4 beat count in, and then start playing a pattern on my keyboard, and have oxi one capture it?

ha! the problem is how to record several notes at once in the same step 😅. We'll implement pick and place for poly first!

Good video. Need more like this. Also should be longer and more step by step in depth. So many features that change all the time and most videos are updated. Need in depth basic setup and useage videos. Then just more videos for updates. There is no good basic video yet. The Liam videos goes off on tangents about generative and skips the setup and basic uses. More of a fan video. Not a tutorial

I just bought an OXI One, it's my first stand alone sequencer. Nothing against this video, but as a new comer, the playlist is very frustrating as videos are just in random order. Hard to know where to start and just get a decent overview of the Oxi One.
