Holy crap, Adam Young really likes to sing in the most uncomfortable part of my vocal range. The timing on the guitar part is really tough with the vocals too. Overall this one was super fun to try to learn.

Hey man just stumbled onto your channel last night. You are incredible. As a fan of emo music and math-rock like riffs, you've really got a knack for it. Have you ever listened to Nick Drake? If you haven't, I highly recommend him. He is, in my silly opinion, the first mid-western emo guitarist. If you listen to Pink Moon, the last album he put out before he died, maybe you'll agree. Either way, the tunings he employs and picking patterns are very fun to play and learn. Besides, I think your voice would work really well for covering his songs. They are challenging and absolutely beautiful. Let me know if you ever give that album a listen.

Ha, such a weirdly compatible instrumental composition with your guitar playing. You do it justice. I thought the vocals sounded a little.. high? Is it possible to drop it down an octave? Does music work like that?
@CoryLottSucks
5 жыл бұрын
Daniel Yates In the studio version he sings these notes and overdubbed a second vocal track where he’s singing an octave lower. It makes the falsetto seem less detached and feel more powerful and gives the voice more body in general.

Ha, such a weirdly compatible instrumental composition with your guitar playing. You do it justice. I thought the vocals sounded a little.. high? Is it possible to drop it down an octave? Does music work like that?

Daniel Yates In the studio version he sings these notes and overdubbed a second vocal track where he’s singing an octave lower. It makes the falsetto seem less detached and feel more powerful and gives the voice more body in general.
could you do Haitian Divorce by steely dan? its a rare cover and pretty challenging to do but a beautiful piece when its finished.
