I really want it to be about just doing whatever u what with life. How one being has no real direction or purpose in life and is just left to do whatever in Minecraft. And in the end narrators tell this poem Maybe Steve starts as the guy who just wants to survive, the guy who finally has ambitions and fights bosses and saves villages from raids, and maybe commits evil we all have in Minecraft out of boredom. Maybe he unlocks creative mode after returning from the end and is bored after enjoying being a god

The World, the universe, the void. This whole Universe is the game, the game we are playing right now.

I actually just recently beat minecraft for the first time a few weeks ago (ive played for about 10 years). And the end credits made me cry. Just seeing them makes me cry because the impact of the words are ao strong. They are not just words on a screen when you read them its a person telling you its okay and to just live. Its beautfiul and i dont regret anything. And i cried. I sobbed. It hit me where i needed it. What made this first time was i didnt even intend to beat the game just have fun and build in survival.

this entire video showed me more purpose in life, i believe i do have a good and simple life but i just don’t often find myself as happy as i once was anymore. i never paid attention to the end poem whenever i did finish fighting the ender dragon but i never realised how deep it’d get. this has awoken a new feeling in me where i now believe i do want to go out there talk to more people and live life to its fullest instead of just going to work and then sleeping everyday. thank you for awaking something in me.

You know, it's funny how something so beautiful and thought provoking can come from inherently insignificant sources. Most people think video games are a fake reality, a pastime, or an escape. Most people look at a game and think about how simple it truly is, A few ones and zeroes, a few rays of light emanating from a screen, Which our eyes receive to portray an illusion with, Nothing of substance, nothing of value, and certainly not real. How can something like this mean so much to someone? This is especially the view of most older people. When you look at a person becoming angry or distraught, Or experiencing intense emotions at an inanimate object, This is clearly a sign of addiction. A person can pour hours into a niche game no one knows about, honing their skill, their craft, But it's not real. A person can play a game with a great story. They can feel for the characters, But it simply isn't real. A person can play a game for the first time in years and experience nostalgia for older times, simpler times, But it will never be real. A person can hear the soundtrack of a block game, and cry, But it's not real. True reality only comes from stepping outside, From the reality constructed by real positives and negatives, protons and electrons, From the rays of light emanating from the beauty that is the sun, Which our eyes receive to relay the true grandeur of the world, Something of substance, something of value, certainly real. This is reality. Not something a mere human could conjure. For what are we in relation to the scale of the universe? Made up of our billions and billions of intricate parts, Still so much smaller in scale than the great mush of random atoms that is a star. Sure, people matter. A person can share his achievement, after days, weeks, years of hard work in a video game, Yet all they were doing was pressing buttons. A person can craft an intricate story, made with plot twists and important messages, likely to impact many others' lives, Yet all they were doing was writing lines of code. A person can reminisce on the days he spent with his friends, playing the game they all love, Yet all they were doing was talking through a screen. A person can cry, Yet their feelings are a lie. One thing that might stand against all this hard evidence, Is a singular poem, in a random block game, One that comments on the nature of reality, while also being fake, in of itself. What truth can it have, though? It's just a game. (Also great work on this video. It is criminally under-viewed. The way you built intensity over time and some of the shots you have in here are really, really cool. Too bad it's all on a screen. :) )

This is hands down one of my favorite YT vids I’ve seen in a long time. You’ve not only managed to creatively visualize it and capture the feeling of reading the poem for the first time, but also tie it with all the feelings of the adventure and nostalgia that pays perfect tribute to the game. Absolutely amazing work❤

You just somehow show that you can create amazingly good videos off of anything, even when it's a poem we've all been greeted with, there's a lot true meaning of messages at the end of the game I learned from watching this, makes me truly have a bit of regret not caring about the end screen at all for some reason, and it's all a deeper meaning, especially put in a perfect way just like this. Amazed once again Pixel Pug =]

Not many things have ever been able to make me cry…. But this poem, this beautiful work of art, this… story…. It shakes my soul and awakens all of the light and good in my body. Minecraft is more than a game. It is our childhood, a distant memory, just a few buttons away from unlocking the childlike wonder that we all once shared. So simple. So easy. So beautiful. Thank you Notch. Thank you Jeb. Thank you Mojang. Thank you everyone that made Minecraft what it means to not just me, but the millions of people that this game has touched.

If I’m to be honest, every time I even read this or listen to this poem, I either choke up and try not to cry, or just cry of the pure beauty and truth that it holds. Throughout our hardships in existence, we aren’t alone, though we tend to forget. Life is a big mess but in a way, the chaos is beautiful. We meet others like us who genuinely care, who experience similar needs and goals. It’s nice to know you’re not alone. Congrats on making me sappy. Well played :]

Pardon me for the long comment I’m about to write, but I just need to say this: It took me a long time to read. In that time, I defeated the ender dragon with the help of my friends once. So when I went into the portal to respawn and saw the words drifting across the screen, I couldn’t really understand them since all of it just looked like green and blue colored gibberish, and no one had the time to read the whole thing to me. Unfortunately, after the point where I learned how to read, I no longer cared much about the words anymore and was too impatient to read the whole thing since I just wanted to go back to playing the game with my friends and building funny little things. More time passed, and then I couldn’t log back into my account. More time, and the news that we had to migrate our accounts happened. But I didn’t know how to do that, and it wasn’t my email that my account was made on! So unfortunately, when the time rolled around and the accounts that weren’t migrated got deleted, I lost everything on there. All the things my friends, parent figures, and sibling gave me. All of it. *Gone forever.* then I could no longer look at the ending words. I no longer had the ability to sit there patiently and read the words. But now that I’m finding this by pure luck of it being in my recommended? I finally got to not read, but *hear* them. I finally got to understand what they were saying. And I’d like to admit that I regret never taking a few minutes out of my day just to read those words. Because this honestly made me cry, and somehow I realized that: maybe living isn’t really as bad as I and everyone else keeps making it out to be? If the universe loves us, then maybe I can somehow try and at least appreciate it back with the time I have left in this oh-so-short yet painfully long life. sure it’s difficult but.. that’s just what happens when something is on hardcore mode. Get too hurt, and you won’t respawn again. You can only spectate it.
