WOW... that's the worst scoring I've seen. How can you not be impressed with that brake stomp and DEEP and LONG barrel?

If you guys heard the judges talk about their scoring criteria and what they're looking for in this contest this year it makes sense from that perspective why Owen took this one from Fanning

Mick Fanning lost this heat? Those backside snaps just seem to be getting over-scored. I don't know why the god's decided to only score barrels from behind the rocks as high? Those mid-wave barrels really help to break-up the monotony. IDK...

Is this the next cool thing for kooks to do? - Pretend they are surfing judges and make out there is a conspiracy against their fav surfers?

What the hell ever... I am sure that most on here admit they are not pro surfers... but that was ROBBERY... I enjoy watching these vids... and admire the sport, and I have NEVER seen anyone else do anything CLOSE to that to set up and DELIVER a barrel. I'm sure its been done before... but I never seen it... and I found it IMPRESSIVE AS HELL...

Mick surfed better in my opinion and got that long barrel, how could the judges not give him the win..bad call if you ask me!

I dont get it seems like total bullshit to me mick shoudve won

I liked Owens surfing way more but Micks barrel and the fact that he always starts off with two good turns along with his less powerful quick slashes should have been a pretty good bit more than Owen

Mick was robbed....Fanning getting barrels in the same wave, Owen doing the same turn...hmmmm
