They brought back lots of rock samples, placed a retroreflector on there for distance measurements and after 6 manned moon missions public enthusiasm had decreased to a point where it just wasn't worth the effort anymore. What I wonder is why so many people doubt the moon landing considering how much evidence there is. How do the deniers explain that we are still able to make accurate distance measurements to the moon with lasers (which work thanks to the retroreflectors astronauts put onto the moon)? How do they explain all the photographs of the landing sites that have been taken with telescopes from earth's orbit? Why did they go to such great lengths and fake it 6 times, and why did even the Russians believe in the moon landing despite the cold war? Also, what happened to the Saturn V rocket after millions of people watched it lift off with countless hobby astronomers tracking it afterwards? As I see it, this alleged moon landing conspiracy would be far too big to actually work.

I became a father 10 years ago and almost immediately upon becoming a father I realized that people without children are parenting experts. Or so they think. Over the past 10 years I have realized that almost every subject you can think of works the exact same way. People who have never done something think they would be the best at that thing. Imagine someone who's never raised a baby saying "how hard is it? They just lay there". That is the exact same thing as someone saying "how hard is it to prove gravity"? And then just dropping a pencil on the floor.

Hi Harry. There are several good sources of truth concerning "flat earth". I hope you will include Pastor Dean Odle's work on this subject, which is called Biblical Cosmology. He has several videos which include what the Word of God (the Bible) says, what actual government documents say, what historical documents say, and results of contemporary tests. We know that the earth is stationary and the sun, moon and stars move; however, we tend to think that the sun moves in a circular direction. I am considering the possibility that it moves in a spherical or even figure eight path. When you consider other directions of movement, then the east-west pattern becomes possible with this flat earth. I hope we can all agree to disagree peacefully and respectfully without name-calling and insulting. Peace and have a blessed Christmas season.

@@alvisshef How did you find out the Bible is the word of God? And how can't the earth be stationary when it goes against an overwhelming number of scientific discovers made by science? i.e. Satellites, planes and rockets all use the globe earth model to calculate all of their journeys.

yeah, I dunno if he has other 'heroes', but JP was clearly in Owen's favor for a year or more. They might've done a podcast/skype session, iirc? then Owen throws him 100% 'under his bus'. It seems Owen is having a crisis of personal faith - it is on this level because his doubts, while useful, have gone so far as to become impossible to resolve using solely his own faculties. He requires a new personal 'revelation' to transcend his current conundrum, but for now he's stuck in a metaphysical corner.

when Owen says the sun isn't visible from anywhere on earth... he's trying to reference the Spring Equinox when the sun reaches the southern crux and appears to fall below the horizon for three days, then rises back into sight above the horizon to mark the start of spring. He watched the first Zeitgeist documentary, but they weren't talking about the earth being flat... they were explaining the correlation between the story of Jesus and astrology, but Owen jacked all that info around...

The theory that we are all living on the Truman show set I find way more plausible than the flat earth theory.
