FYI -- you got POTG as Zenyatta for killing 2 enemies during their Ultimates (Pharah + Soldier: 76), which is called a double shutdown and is basically instant POTG.

+1998SIMOMEGA i think the other two are based on the amount of damage you do and in saving teammates that were about to die, for example killing a roadhog that just hooked someone or hooking a reinhardt that was charging at someone, i guess mercy res goes in that category.

For all y'all that need help in your strife against Bastion. D. Va > Bastion Charge him with your shield and use your boosters to move him a little bit. He'll get scared as fuck and leave stance, and then just spray him down. =^)

+Cthulhu The Fabulous it works surprisingly well, most bastions keep it longer range so when a genji, cqc hero, gets in their face they freak out and start spraying cuz they dont want to risk you killing them but you'll already be deflecting his shots and before he even realizes his mistake he's already half health at the most, then either he switches form and you kill him or you dash slash him amd finish him from behind. That being said, you gotta do it quickly cuz a supported bastion wont be as easy to kill

The lore behind bastion is essentially that he was one of the frontline soldiers during the omnic v human wars which take place before the overwatch game, which is why the overwatch team was formed in the first place. After the war Bastion was deactivated for some reason and kinda just hung out deactivated on a hill somewhere, where vines grew on him, which is the skin he has from the overwatch: origins skin. He got reactivated, also for no real reason, and just wanders about appreciating nature and generally being rather passive. He still has his combat protocols intact, though, so when people mess with him he fucks them up, not unlike what's happening in the video above.

We did try double Junkrat, and it would have most likely worked if it had been on a map other than Temple of Anubis, they basically camped the first choke-point in such a way that we couldn't even line up a shot without being melted, you are right though in that we could have easily beaten them with double Junkrat had we had another way in.

To the salty people in the comments: Stop being salty about Bastion, guys. Play of the game means nothing except you telling your parents: "Oh my god, I did it, my life has worth." If you want play of the game, play Bastion. But you don't want to because he's NOT your main. If you don't want people to have mains, you shouldn't have one either. Why do you need Play of the Game so badly? I main Ana and Zenyatta for gods sakes, and you don't see me going: "I DESERVED IT IT WOULDVE MADE ME FEEL COOL WAAAAAAAHHH" So yeah. Learn to deal with it, because you are acting like babies. I don't care when a Bastion steals my POTG, because I usually don't get it. And you think your "skillful" play is pressing Q with Hanzo and killing everyone, and saying "I deserved it." You hate Bastion because he sits there. But he spams the trigger. You just press Q. If you're McCree, you press Q and fire ONCE. Reaper requires no pressing. Mercy doesn't either. So stop just playing for POTG. Overwatch is a team game, and the world doesn't always revolve around you.

This video is a great way to tell the story of bastion. being an enemy to humanity for so long, when he came out of his slumber after years after his last battle he started to enjoy nature and the only way he can be loved is to get POTG. I'll show my way out the door.

To be fair, your Zenyatta POTG wasn't bad at all. You shut down Pharah just as she was about to ulti your entire team. From what I've been told, shutdowns (killing a hero right as they try to use ultimate) counts for a lot, for the purpose of POTG.

+Khaine yeah shutting down two ultis in short succession will sometimes get you potg. I killed a pharah and a mccree during their ult once and it got me potg too.

+norma wren because the game revolves around changing your hero to counter other people's choices or to fit the certain scenario. So if you're "a bastion main" and only play bastion. What are you going to to when the enemy team has a phara or a widowmaker that are just completely shutting you down? You can stubbornly play your main all game and lose or change to counter them. The idea of a main makes no sense so me. You can be good at a hero, sure. But don't "main" them

I get what you're saying, but a main is basically a default, you don't have to stick with it throughout the entire game. If there was a really good counter to your default, you could just change hero

It worked decently well. It just gives you less time to react to enemies coming from the cliff such as pharah than if you played on the roof of the building behind you. For the most part, the spot is only good because of how random it is. It's just high enough that no one can snipe your feet but too close for you to be able to kill someone fast enough before they can retreat.
