British girl is Tracer. Gorilla is Winston. Ghost in black is Reaper. Purple lady is Windowmaker. Kids have yet to make another appearance. Overwatch was a military special ops team during the war against evil omnics (robots). There's a lot of backstory for each character and the universe itself. It's really interesting. I don't even play the game. I just love this universe Blizzard has created.

Molllyyy if you decide to get into the official webcomics of Overwatch, I recommend watching Seigi VA's voice dubs of them. They're a lot more fun than just reading quietly to yourself. "Overwatch: Uprising" and "Overwatch: Reflections" are the 2 official webcomics he's dubbed. They're usually the first videos that pop up when you search them on KZread. Reaction video or not, they're a good watch.

1. Reaper isn't a ghost - he's a walking *corpse*. 2. Widowmaker isn't purple - her skin's *blue*. 3. Overwatch was a peacekeeping organisation formed *after* the First Omnic Crisis. 4. There's *not* alot of backstory for most characters or the overall universe.

omg I'm so glad your reacting to these!!! I love them, though I haven't been able to buy the game for myself yet. As far as I understand, the game itself doesnt really have the story in it, but theres videos and comics to tell the story of the characters like this. Which I think is really great, because the animation quality in these videos is to die for. They look like full on movies! (tbh I wish there was an overwatch movie or something, it'd be so cool)

Yes! I saw people recommending these and was hoping you'd do them. These shorts are all so great! Also the game is a TON of fun. It's all team based objective driven combat. There are (currently) 24 unique characters each with their own weapons, abilities and roles in the game. You got to meet a few of them here, and you'll meet a few more in the rest of the shorts.

You could do a reaction to the official gameplay trailer but also keep in mind that the game NOW is different from what WAS in that trailer but the trailer will give you the general idea of how the game is played. One of the things I like about Overwatch is that while the world (set in 2076) has had a lot of tragedies and such, there still a strong sense of hope to it. This was set in a museum honoring the exploits of Overwatch, which had been shut down about 5-8 years before. The boys, so far, have only appeared in this, acting as our viewpoint. The game itself is 'just' a team on team FPS, though there are some intercharacter voice interactions that give story hints and such. They are developing the story proper through the shorts, the comics, and such. One last quick thing, timeline wise, this takes place after the events of "Recall" and "Alive", which have been confirmed by Blizzard as taking place the same night. Oh, if you get a chance, even if you don't 'react', check out "Are you with us" and "We are Overwatch".

The 2 kids don't really make an appearance later on,this game takes place about 60-70 years in the future on earth,the beginning scene talks about what overwatch did basically in the "Omnic crisis",basically it's a war between Omnics(robots) and human,every character has their own back story,my favorite character is genji,and my favorite animated short is Dragons

I personally don't play the game, but I love the universe they created and the many short they made, that I contacted Blizzard asking them to make a full animated series of it.

Basically, there was a Terminator-like situation. Several immense robot factories, called Omniums, gained self-awareness and launched devastating attacks against different parts of the world. Humanity was near extinction but the Overwatch operatives were able to drive back the Omnics (robots) long enough for peace to be brokered. While both sides are technically at peace now, there is still distrust and prejudice against Omnics due to the massive human casualties incurred during the war (called the Omnic Crisis). This all happened the generation before the events of the game.

Jeff *KAPLAN* didn't create the game, he's a Vice President of Blizzard and Game Director of Overwatch division.

hey molly, thanks for the mention :) also a quick run down on some overwatch lore that may help you enjoy the videos a bit. overwatch is set roughly 60 years in the future from present day. during which Artificial intelligences and other near sci fi leaps forward have happened. then half way through that time, the AI rebelled and waged war on humanity and there was no good solution until the united nations decided to create an experimental strike force taking super soldiers from america, the worlds best sniper, leading engineers, and people donning powered armors to take down the mechanized menace. after the crisis, overwatch was instilled as an organization proper and seen as heroes of the world and continuing to help whenever they could until 7 years prior to the current timeline where they were shut down due to conspiracies and dropping public opinion.-end backstory. now the game itself is relatively welcoming and has any number of game modes and has lore in character interactions and maps, but not much of anything resembling a story mod, but regardless it's beyond fun to play even for people who don't enjoy the FPS genre. so have fun reacting to the trailers, and i'm sure a couple of fans would be willing to help pitch in to get you the game so we could both watch you play and play along side you :)

Yeah the British girl, Tracer, is my favorite character. I don't play the game. I don't play any video games but of the couple trailers I've seen and what little I know of her Tracer is my fave. Oh I also watched the death battle with Tracer and learned a lot from that. There is also a Yang death battle but it has volume two spoilers so if you wish to watch it wait until you finish volume two. As usual your reactions brighten everyone's day/night.

Gabriel reies (Reaper) was the leader of Blackwatch the special ops division of Overwatch which was hidden from the public. when the public found out everyone didn't trust Overwatch. The reveal of Blackwatch and the destruction of the Swiss HQ lead to the disbandment of Overwatch. after all of this the criminal organization Talon was founded. Reaper and Widomaker are members of Talon

Alpacagod115 widow maker was the wife of an overwatch agent called gerad talon kidnapped her to get to him and they brainwashed her. She then returned and all seemed fine until she murdered gerad in his sleep and returned to talon to continue her transformation. she is blue as her heartbeat was slowed down to make her a perfect assassin

It's actually very easy to understand where are the toxic players. QUICK PLAY lvl 0-10 None TOXIC players lvl 11-20 Rarely TOXIC players lvl 20-30 Sometimes.. but very TOXIC You get my point. Bigger level = More toxic players Don't even remind me of 6v6 eliminations, they were screaming s o m u c h

Now I kinda want you to watch Team Fortress 2's "Meet the" videos! They're just as entertaining.

Overwatch is a group of people and animals like Winston that formed the group to put an end to the war with the omnics which are robots that turned against mankind. Overwatch succeded in stopping the war and bringing peace to the world however the group was divided into two seperate groups. The one lead by the man who would become Soldier 76 which was the main force of Overwatch and the other group was led by the man who became Reaper(the shadowy guy) which was called Blackwatch which had more sinster members like criminals. Reaper and some of his followers tried to overthrow Soldier 76 and take command of Overwatch but it ended with the group being forced to disband by the world's governments. Reaper then joined a villinous group after having his DNA altered in order to save his life and give him immortality which didn't quite work out as well. The British sounding girl is Tracer and the gorilla is Winston and both follow Soldier 76. Reaper's companion is Windowmaker who was kidnapped and tortured and brainwashed into joining the villinous group that Reaper is part of.

The whole "world always need more heroes" is kinda a call to action for the players. Kinda like "Buy the game, join Overwatch". Make sure to start with Alive and go from there. Playlist for animated shorts is backwards. Would definitely like to see gameplay. What platform are you on? Console or PC?

If you're looking for stuff to react to (if you haven't seen it before), might I suggest Avatar The Last Airbender? Understandable if you can't get to it for a little while, since you're already reacting to a ton of other stuff at the moment. But if you haven't seen it before, I have a feeling you'll love it.

I'm sorry to inform you that overwatch is strictly multiplayer only, there's no story mode campaign

The trailers are really good, but alas, nothing about the story is actually in the game. You can find tidbits here and there and some back and forth banter when you play with certain characters on a team, but the game itself focuses primarily on multiplayer matches. I would love to see Blizzard had some story content to the game, but the trailers are definitely worth a watch

Molllyyy ~ If you watch this, pay attention to every image that comes on the screen. This A.M.V. has more story then some full length anime movies or series. Make sure you watch the animated video and not just the song set to a still image. Some reactors have made that mistake.
