@@jubusch soujorn and junkerqueen have been in development for quite a while apparently. to the point maybe ball despite being more "recent" was released way before than them to the game

Weird how Sojourn, Junker Queen, Echo, and Sigma have lines about it since the ultimate doesn't exist anymore.

Voice lines are also sometimes recorded months or even years in advance, so they could just be leftovers.

It has to be in the future notice how all the base characters have the same/similar lines and sigma/sojourn are different completely

Either it’s coming back or they’ll be using it in pve Knowing Vishkar working along side Talon, wouldn’t be much of a surprise if they have a shield gen during pve

I feel like they will more likely be in the PvE but those voice lines including the ones for Ashe, Baptiste, Sigma and Echo has been in the game since they have been released my guess is that they only have those lines still in the game as some form of backup in case they do for some reason add it back.

Game was supposed to have PvE so my guess is they got some recordings of the actors before they scrapped it.

@@brandonfowlkes6547 Nah these voice lines for the newer heroes have been there for a while even during the Overwatch 1 days. Plus, the game is still going to have PvE we will just have to wait until sometime in 2023 (My guess would be Fall or Winter 2023) but they mainly record some of these lines to future proof themselves even back in 2016 like the additional communications lines including "Yes", "No", "Goodbye", for example which they been there since launch, but they weren't added until May 2020.

@@ernesto_7O7 Not true at all. The executive producer Jared Neuss said that we won't be hearing anything about the PvE at all for season 2 as they are not ready to talk about that, so you likely read that wrong.

I think it would be cool to bring back syms shield generator but decrease the amount of shields it gives and put it on a shared cool down with her teleporter so you have to pick between one

shield gen on cd would be kinda based actually, it stays up for like 10s like her teleporter and then it goes on cd. would give her a lot more viability

ngl, hearing Symmetra yell yahi param vaastavikta hai feel WAY better than a damn shield generator

I can't imagine how it would be to have the shield generator back, to be honest. Probably the teleporter ultimate would be a lot more useful now if it came back.

This may be for PVE but I would like that version of Symmetra to return with some changes, of course

people dont seem to even listen to dev blogs lol they add specific heroes to the game as they see fit at the moment. there are heroes that were "older" and ended up being released *after* other heroes that started development far later than them, because they were more "fit" to add to the game in x time. thats why junkerqueen and soujorn had voting lines probably while kiriko didnt

Actually since that video got uploaded they have added the voting voice lines for Kiriko with the Halloween patch.

Not the junkrat one, i have nightmares of a anubis game where i kept hearing this line

Probably as some form of backup in case they decide to add that back into the game. So they don't have to drag the voice actors into recording 3-5 voice lines regarding that.

a lot of these characters were prob already casted way earlier than we think, and have lines ready before they even start working on them. soujorn was a thing since launch a junker queen as a character was introduced back when symmetra was still a support. by then shield gen wasnt expected to be removed in the future probably.

Yeah similarly I think Sojourn and Junker Queen have Horizon scope lines but Kiriko does not

@@polar6066 But their voice actors are really new to the scene, so like although you make so much sense it just like, man idk I’m frying my brain. I think they just did it for any special modes they mad add like giving old abilities back to characters in custom games or something.

It was Symmetra's old ultimate where when deployed herself and her teammates would gain 75 shields if they are 50 meters in that range and the ultimate will stop once the enemy destroys it.
