MY RECIPE DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
PLEASE CHECK PINNED COMMENT FOR ERROR CORRECTIONS OR THINGS I FORGOT!
Ingredients Needed:
- Brisket
- PS Seasoning FIND "The BBQ General" SPG Rub I used HERE plus get 10%OFF: www.psseasoning.com/discount/...
INSTRUCTIONS: Trim Brisket fat side down to 1/4 inch and remove any really hard fats or discolored areas. Do a thin trim around the edged of the brisket to expose fresh meat. Trim the top side of the brisket to remove hard fats and silver skin to expose the meat for the rub to stick to. Season generously with PS Seasonings "The BBQ General" SPG Rub which you can find here: www.psseasoning.com/discount/... (includes discount). Place brisket on pre-heated cooker at 225 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow to cook until it has good bark and color, this typically happens between 160-170 degrees Fahrenheit (but go by bark and color). Wrap in butcher paper and foil boat (see video) then allow to finish until tender by using probe to test. The feel should be like peanut butter. Begin checking at 190 degrees Fahrenheit until done. Rest for two hours, slice and enjoy!

Dang that looks awesome and that smoke ring was just plain 'ole glorious. I can only try to imagine how delicious it was.😋👍🏼 I hope that I can soon try to replicate your results on my own grill. Old age & health issues make for tough grillin, at the same time it's a great goal to strive for. Get healthy and strong enough to grill again, lol. As always great video, that iphone does a great job, so crisp & clear. Didn't look youtube(y) to me at all. Thanks fella & take care.👏🏻

How do you like the food on the apex compared to the woodwind pro?
@EverydayBBQ
Жыл бұрын
In a nutshell, the APEX is a better cooker from top to bottom, but the Woodwind Pro has the slight advantage in flavor because of the smoke box.

I think it’s 160 but you can check the specs in the link I gave in the description.
3 weeks, and my Apex 36 will be at my house. What recipes you recommend? What will be the easiest thing to smoke first? I'm a rookie, and can't wait to try my first meal on this thing. What's the top, don't do's?
@EverydayBBQ
Жыл бұрын
Pork Butt is the easiest bbq cook. Ribs are also easy. Keep the lid closed and let the cooker work. Also keep it clean, vacuumed and maintained. It will give you lots of great food and fun for years to come.
