It took time but we finally arrived at the most anticipated Ningaloo reef in Western Australia! A dream come true. A place where we can literally dive in the water from the beach and park the car on the same sand. From the land to the reef in a second. We plan to find sharks, turtles and everything possibly visible around here.
But there is not only life in the water at Ningaloo. We bring you with us search for the rock wallabies!
Hope you enjoy the dive cause next week we leave the coastline!
Until next week, take care!

Super nice :- ) I always found it funny how majority of Aussie overlanding videos show driving on the beaches, but almost never swimming & diving. Just Barbecue and getting bogged down :- ).

Agree....That's because practically everyone in Australia lives close to the beach. There's hardly anybody in the outback. 😂 And they want to be close to the store where they can buy beer 🍺🍺🍺 to go with BQ 😂

Hahahahahahaha we can see that! They are so equipped they can stay forever on the beach! We are envious of those who have boats thought they can reach even more places

If youve got a magnetic compass, try holding it near some of those termite mounds and see what happens. When you get further north, take the snorkelling gear out of your quick access. Those waters you really dont want to go in - saltwater crocodiles start becoming a serious risk past broome. Years ago there was a big one spotted in denham, shark bay, but they dont normally come too far south. Up north they could be anywhere. And right now is grumpy croc season.

I'm thoroughly enjoying your expedition videos. I have an overlander experience I wanted to share with you, so you might avoid the same issues I had. I recently had to use my farm jack that was mounted on the rear of my XJ for years. Like yours it has endured some rough outdoor environments and when I needed it I found the sliding locking pins corroded and the jack unusable. Using a hammer, WD-40, and a screwdriver was able to break the pins loose returning the jack to functional status. If I would have had to do the repairs in the dark, or in inclement conditions it would have gone beyond an annoyance. You're really prudent with vehicle maintenance, but this might have been something you have overlooked. Safe travels and perhaps we can meet up in Paris, Lyon, or Nîmes area in June 2025.

Glad you got Albo out before he got swallowed by the ocean. I have seen that happen several times to vehicles. I worked at Cape Cod National Seashore...one was a brand new 4x4 Jeep. The park and other 4x4 people tried to get it out but it was too late. That guy was really bummed. I love snorkling...that five fingers spot was beautiful. The rock Wallaby's are super cute! Thanks for the beautiful journey!

Fabuleux. In November 1992 we drove Perth to Ningaloo in a rented Toyota HiAce pop top camper van with our one year old baby son - THE most amazing trip of our 34 years of married life where we 'made' our second son born in the summer of 1993! Sadly we didn't have an off roader but you have inspired me to go back in the next few years.. Sadly we didn't have time to head further north so looking forward to your coming adventures here in London Town. Bon voyage!

The water is an amazing color and very clear. What kind of Turtles were those? The aux power system is very cool. Very good idea. Some rich guy in the UK started a car company and all he makes is Defender look alikes. A basic one with no upgrades is $83K US. With upgrades, you could go over $100K easy.
