Dude, The side walk looks spectacular, what a transformation. I would love to see you do this as a mini series. I would like to see you do the other side of the side walk and cut and trim the whole house. keep up the good work buddy.....you have a good heart....

As long as he stays on the public sidewalk, he's simply performed self motivated Civic Volunteerism. If he goes on property without permission, his company may be held liable for damages, etc.. It's how the for profit legal system funds salaries. 🤟🏽🐻

To anyone that reads this, I urge you to thank this man and his company for doing this wonderful work by contributing in whatever way you can.

I concur. For the abounded properties, the neighbors are ecstatic. Properties that are inhabited, you'll never know what this means to homeowners and their families.

Perfectly straight edges are not the main focus in this one. This was an incredible transformation & I can only imagine how completely exhausted you were by the end. One thing's for sure the neighbors, who are now able to more easily go down that section of sidewalk, are very grateful. I'd love to see a part 2!

Agreed. Just the overall visual improvement and safety means more than perfect lines. And you can always go back and fix them up later.

You just improved the lives of people who can now safely use that sidewalk... an elder person who walks their dog, elderly with walkers, wheelchair users, little kids with tricycles, older kids with scooters and skateboards, and even the postman won’t trip now. You made it a happy sidewalk again.

I use a cane and have a walking boot. People have no idea how dangerous an overgrown sidewalk can be. Makes me anxious thinking about it! Good job!!!!’

@@SimonWoodburyForget which part looked better to you before? Honest question, not meant in a snide way. I love the look of grass that is overgrown in the *tall* sense- where it waves in the breeze. But the uneven growth towards the middle of the sidewalk doesn't look good to me. The staining left behind will go away after a good rain or two, if that's what you mean.

By the way it was overgrown, it doesn't look like the sidewalk had heavy traffic. In the very least, he improved the aesthetic of the neighborhood.

We are in the process of redoing our small ( 400 sq ft) lawn in a home that is 35 years old, and we maintain our property very well. From previous owner adding sod in a few layers, there was a terrible build up. We filled half of a 10 yard bin with sod and soil. I appreciate the satisfaction of you doing that job. 👍🏼👍🏼 My husband and I both understand overworking to get the job done, we are 70 & 75, but hard workers our entire life! Why stop now? Lol God Bless You Richly, Dear One. 🙏🏼❤️

That house looks like it’s more from the 40s. There’s enough sod to build a whole new yard! Truly commendable. You did an incredible job. May God heal you and prosper you.

Wow. That was actually amazing. At first I was like "nah, that's not 50 years of neglect"... then the "real" edges of the sidewalk were uncovered and I was like "oh". Lot of work, well done.

I was thinking that if that yard hasn't been edged in many years that "who knows" where the real edge will be and that will be "a doozy" to clean up. Sorry to find you overworked, it is sometimes pretty hard to stop when there is "just one more thing" to do. Nice improvement.

A hard graft, but the result was worthwhile, pedestrians now have an extra 50% of pavement to walk on! Great job!

It looks so much better. I'm impressed and I love that you reuse the sod! I know it is weird, but I sort of want to power wash the cement.

WOW! My body/back/legs, all of it hurts for you! This yard looks fantastic. As always, you have done another spectacular job. I would love to see you tackle the entire yard, prune the trees, etc. I know you can work your magic on this, just as you have done with so many other jobs. I love watching how you clean up the sidewalks! The difference is amazing! I was thinking 'how tired his arms must be after all that edging and brutal shovel work!' I know people who use the sidewalks will appreciate what you've done for them.

Oh my goodness!! Community will be So grateful! In the 70's, we didn't edge like you do. But most people would keep it as clear as they could. Best to look wierd and save your lungs! Looks great! I don't know how you managed to get that much done in one day by yourself. It's almost deeper than your blade can go in places, so it's no wonder it's not perfect, but it's pretty close to it. I look forward to seeing the other side next week. *You're definitely using the right machine, I have the same KM131 and that thing certainly has the power to slice through anything. I also have the Darwin Grip on my edger attachment and it really turns the edger into a Cadillac.*

Had to watch every second. Those slopes of the lawn to the sidewalk - that’s the cause of that buildup growth. I feel for the homeowner, especially if they’re older, ill or got the short stick. My entire property is sloped, my driveway is a muddy river from the road to my flattened parking area. I do what you just did with about the same amount of removed material every late Spring when the rains finally dwindle. After a lingering illness, it took me weeks to do what you did in one long hard day! Here’s to a relax & a cold one on me!

Worst overgrown edges I’ve ever seen! There’s enough turf left over to make a whole other yard! That was a lot of work! Great job!

Amazing clean up for the community! Doesnt matter if its been 5 or 50 years since it was last cleaned up, it was overdue. Part 2 would be great but not at the expense of your health. See if you can also get someone to help you for 2. Take time to rest, eat and drink. Magnesium Forte tablets are also great ..help with cramping and muscle pain.
