Over the head throw (tomoe nage) one of the prettiest and throws with an amplitude.
Throw with foot lever in the stomach is one of the most beautiful and amplitude throws. This throw often used in sambo and judo. This how has a variant that was taught to me by Merited coach of Ukraine Anatoly Nikolaevich Kalinsky. Because of him I won few tough matches. January 10th of 2018 he passed. RIP great sambo and judo coach.

Sambo is a versatile sport because it has large amount of techniques in standing position as well as on the ground. Why can't you throw an opponent who's equal or stronger opponent? There are two main reasons. First - you're setting up and doing the throw wrong, and the second you're predictable and everyone knows your moves. In both cases your technique is flawed and something has to be changed. All progressive MMA fighters are incorporating sambo submissions. It's easily explainable due to limited time on the ground ( 2-5 seconds to catch and another minute to complete ). Sambists research the fastest and most effective ways to finish for years. Why does everyone want to finish fast? It's an opportunity to finish in style and preserve your energy. I know the taste of quick finishes like no other. 25 years in sambo, 13 World Championships in which i earned 2 golds, 4 silvers, 1 bronze and most importantly 90% of my victories happened before regulation time expired. I spent 20000 hours

My 9 year old son just hit the Tomoe Nage for the first time in live rolling a couple of days ago in his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class. Your video and another video were the ones that really helped him get it! Thank you!

@@Bluis5445 That's a cute little catch phrase from Khabib. You know what's funny? Mikey Musumeci, a nerd, recently dominating a world combat Sambo champion (Gantumur Bayanduuren) and destroying his leg around 20 times in just one match. Didn't work out too well for the Sambo guy, did it? Mikey has called out all top Sambo fighters in his weight class, too. Similar situation with Kade Ruotolo, a 19 year old, who destroyed and submitted 4 time world Sambo champion Uali Kurzhev last year. Tell Mikey and Kade that BJJ is easy. Sambo is great, but so is BJJ. Instead of pitting them against each other, why not appreciate them both and cross train them like Ivan?

Thats cute, we are talking about Combat Sambo here. Mike is a bjj grappler not a fighter. Also mind you, Ivan here has been dominating bjj competitions as a Sambo practitioner. If you want to learn how to actually fight in any case you'd learn Combat Sambo or Kudo, if you just want to learn grappling for self defense you'd learn Bjj it's very simple.

@@ManofOneGod It's amazing how I make one comment about my little son hitting a nice move in live rolling, and all the comments I get are from insecure Sambo guys who want to bash BJJ. My son does BJJ, wrestling, and boxing. Sambo and Judo, as good as they are, do not have a monopoly on fighting skills/success. Take your pathetic insecurity elsewhere.
