@senthemink that's not always the case. Kunwu can only handle so much. They have their own knives to make too. And there is always the potential for delays if too many are ordered. Regardless, it was just a light-hearted joke while letting you know I agree with your comment. Cheers

Everything great about the ad-10 except that clip. Like a lot of Cold Steel clips, it's too wide and too tight.

I had the GM Tribeca and the heat treat on the Magnacut was garbage, as most Italian knives have.

All the knives look amazing. The Ire looks to be a favorite for me of the ones shown, but the new lock that Vosteed is using has me wanting to try them out even more along with thier Elmax steel. One thing I would disagree with would be the cold Steel AD10. The S35VN version can be often found for just under a hundred bucks where the AUS10 version is only a bit cheaper at 75 bucks (roughly). The difference in this one makes the S35VN the better buy in my opinion. On the 4Max (S35VN for $350 roughly)and the 4Max Scout (AUS10 $50) it makes sense to go with the cheaper option due to the price disparity, but it's just not worth it to buy the cheaper AD10 where it's currently priced. I never understood why the spyderco compression lock didn’t have a button lock variant. It seems to be made for a button. Cool to see other companies making button locks out of the idea.

The Tribeca is awesome in hand, wish Italy was known for superior heat treats. If I have a mini Archbishop as well as a mini Malice it'd be great to see a batch of regular sized ones of both of those, in the cheaper materials. I know that action is good heh heh

For the production the detent will have an earlier engagement. You are correct about the hollow grind but the blade really does get so thin behind the edge and the finishes look and function great.

What do u prefer the psyop or the rskaos? Bc I like my rskaos but imo it’s too heavy to carry Ps I love that u brought up an og classic. For years my archbishop 3.0 on skiffs was my fav knife When I first got my mini malice it was horrible and would fail to deploy half the time, but I sent it to WE and now it’s fantastic, but I still prefer the Roxi 3 by WE which is in the same size but just better everything

I been wanting some goat scales for my deka and ritter\houge but they make so few im always too late when I try. I hear they are the best. Can't wait to make my deka more solid

I got a tactile chupacabra in the mail a few days ago and they have not fixed the lock.

Is there some kind of structural reason why most lock bar cut outs are on the outside? If not it's just more attractive and professional to hide the cut out on the inside of the Lockhart don't you think?

Is it worth the money ? Multiple KZreadrs..including 'Metal Complex' have said it's over used and slightly over rated. I know that S90V has left me disappointed. M390/ 20cv , I have noticed- are OK, but not spectacular. I think once people try Magnacut, S45VN, or 14C28N ....they may not need 20cv anymore. Just my 2 cents tho

@@Monsoonpainnone of the steels you listed hold an edge as well as s90v or 20cv. also what company did the s90v? bad heat treats will make or break a steel. better is subjective on steels. if you value edge retention more than anything, s90v/s110v will be great for you. if you value good edge retention and good toughness then you’d want something like 4v or cruwear. if you want good edge retention, decent toughness, and ridiculous stainlessness, then you’d like s45vn or magnacut. if you want toughness over everything then 3v or something like 52100 or 8670 is gonna be for you. it’s all subjective.

The only reason is pretty much because the best factory edges I have bought are 20cv... no comment on sharpening or what-not.... or if you had to kill a bear with it... also don't know

Hey Jared! Curious, do you remember which 2 WE knives you guys Rockwell tested? I had two of my many WE knives tested at my brothers machine shop and the Kitefin (S35VN) came in at 60.8 and my Black Void Opus (20CV) tested at 61.3 and I'm not even surprised by these results because even with all the crap people spew about WE's bad heat treating, in actual use and now after testing I've always had the opposite experience and have always found WE and Civivi's steel treatment to be above par in the production realm. I don't understand why they get the negative remarks as much as they do; almost all of the production companies from China list their M390/20CV at 59-61 HRC, but it seems that WE is one of the few companies who is actually getting it to that 61 area of their listed spectrum.

Ever since I got into modern folding knives with clips I never lose knives anymore cause I’m either using it, playing with it or it’s clipped into my pocket. Back when I would buy cheap hardware store, gas station or old school slip joints I would constantly lose them! Sucks losing a knife you love

My Archer from Tactile is an absolute piece of garbage. Terrible action and had inlays falling out. Tried to get them to fix it and they said it's "functioning as expected" and sent it back. They also told me the rattling "goes away if you tighten the pivot down enough." If you do that its extremely stiff. Followed back up with them about it because it still had slight lock rock, detent lash, and gritty action. I never got a response. I ended up taking matters into my own hands and did a bunch of polishing and tried to push tolerances so that the lock bar insert interfaced better. I got it a little smoother, but it's nowhere near my other $600+ knives. I want to like Tactile so badly, but all three of my knives from them have had issues.

Smaller American companies can’t cator to every cry baby in the world who doesn’t get “the mostest drop shutty action”. These videos aren’t real life, when’s the last time you actually saw an “influencer” degrade a modern knife ? And not just “it’s just this one thing, but great overall”. Chinese companies will just throw it out and give you a new one. If you don’t get it now, it’s doubtful you ever will.
